The Sobriety of the Spirit in the Midst of Societal Challenge

When we, as God’s people, find ourselves in social challenges, it is vital that we practice sobriety of spirit and operate in faith. Only in this do we recognize the work of the adversary in the form of a ‘lion who wants to devour’ (cf. 1 Peter 5:8-9).

1 Peter 5:8-9:
8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

This sobriety involves an inner separation from the particular circumstance in order to be able to discern it properly, without being influenced by fear, strong emotionality or the like.

The Sobriety of the Spirit and Jesus’ Going Out of the Temple

On the basis of Matthew 24:1-3a, we can see that Jesus went out of the temple and His disciples followed him, wherein we can see a separation.

Matthew 24:1-3a:
1 Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings.
2 ‘Do you see all these things?’ he asked. ‘Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.’
3a As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. …

Jesus’ going out of the temple was to some extent a separation, due to the religious or legislative hypocrisy and opposition of the Scribes and Pharisees present there. Jesus’ leaving the temple led to Him seeing the temple from the outside and teaching His disciples about the coming destruction of the temple, even though the temple appeared magnificent in the eyes of the people.

Furthermore, this distance by His separation led to Jesus going with His disciples to a higher realm of ‘anointing’ (Note: the Mount of Olives), which is at the same time the place of leaving representing the end of a time and coming representing the beginning of a new time, where He taught them the end of time in relation to His second coming (cf. Acts 1:11-12 i.c.w. Zechariah 14:4).

Acts 1:11-12:
11 ‘Men of Galilee,’ they said, ‘why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.’
12 Then the apostles returned to Jerusalem from the hill called the Mount of Olives, a Sabbath day’s walk from the city.

Zechariah 14:4:
4 On that day his feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south.

From this it is clear that it is not absent that at certain times there will be a certain kind of destruction due to ‘rebelliousness’ or ‘resistance’ to the truth. God has even woven hope into His sovereign plan that we need to understand and walk according to it (cf. Jeremiah 29:11).

Jeremiah 29:11:
11 For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Where the adversary has perpetrated chaos, the Holy Spirit is already present, so that the LORD, by the power of His revelatory Word, brings forth order that is accompanied by separation (cf. Genesis 1:2-5).

Genesis 1:2-5:
2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
3 And God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and there was light.
4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.
5 God called the light ‘day’, and the darkness he called ‘night’. And there was evening, and there was morning – the first day.

The Spiritual Perspective in Challenging Times

In challenging times, it is crucial that we, as God’s people, look at the circumstances with a spiritual perspective in order to be instructed by the Holy Spirit in the truth that only comes from Jesus Christ (cf. John 16:13-15).

John 16:13-15:
13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
14 He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you.
15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.’

Jesus trained His disciples to look at earthly circumstances from a spiritual perspective in order to understand the revelatory truth and wisdom of God’s plan and to remain in great confidence.

This is evident, among other things, from the statement Jesus made to the Jews regarding His death and resurrection, using the concept of the temple, to which His addressees looked only from an earthly perspective and thus judged Jesus’ statement in a temporary context. As a result, the Jews could not understand God’s sovereign plan, namely the mystery about Jesus’ coming eternal victory and triumph (cf. John 2:19-22).

John 2:19-22:
19 Jesus answered them, ‘Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.’
20 They replied, ‘It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?’
21 But the temple he had spoken of was his body.
22 After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said. Then they believed the Scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken.

In order to discern the sovereign plan of God in challenging personal or social circumstances, it is necessary that we exercise sobriety of spirit and allow the Holy Spirit to make known to us the revelatory truth of the Son of God for this age and the age to come.

The Rising of the ‘Esthers’ in the Nations and the Implementation of the Seed of God into the Womb of the Bride of Christ

Since the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy (cf. Revelation 19:10e), I would like to mention a prophetic statement that Chuck D. Pierce recently made in an interview on the 25’th of February 2022, regarding the current social situation. He spoke, among other things, in an apostolic-prophetic decree, of the fact that in the next nine months, counted from approximately the biblical time frame of Purim 5782 (Note: 2022), the LORD will change some things that will cause nations to realign.

Furthermore, there is a rising up of the ‘Esthers’ who receive favor and are given strategies within these nine months to finish things and overturn structures that have been opposing the next move of God and the harvest in the nations.

Furthermore, it has been decreed that within the time frame of the nine months, there will be a rising up of the faith within the people of God, especially in Iran, Russia and Ukraine. In this, there is especially a realignment of God’s people within the Kingdom in these countries.

While I was meditating on this apostolic-prophetic decree, the Holy Spirit revealed to me a certain piece of revelatory truth concerning the future as well.

He let me know that from about the time frame of Purim (Note: beginning on the evening of the 16’th of March 2022), a seed in the form of the Word of God will be implanted in the womb of the Bride of Christ, leading to birth in the time frame of Hanukkah.

Thereupon, I heard the LORD say:

“This birth carries two in one! It is about MY people in the Gentile nations and MY people in Israel!

I turn the nations and also MY people, because a time of MY harvest and the increase of anointing has come!

The shaking in Ukraine takes place, because it is about MY harvest plan, even if the adversary wants to stop it!

There are united nations opposite a nation meeting in the ‘granary’,, where I draw attention to the secret of the potential of Purim and Hanukkah!

There are the feasts established by MY people towards ME, where I have previously ordered the three feasts Passover, Shavuot and Sukkot towards MY people!

There is the call of MY people from the Gentile nations and the call of MY people from Israel, because the breaking is followed by the favor, so that many people surrender and reposition themselves towards MY Son, says the LORD!

It is a conflict for salvation and a conflict for consecration!

The presence of MY protection will pave the way to consecration!

There are things breaking in pieces so that MY decision falls on good land!

Men see destruction but I see the beginning of MY sovereign decision from eternity, which brings forth favor for MY people, says the LORD!”

The Time Frame Between Purim and Hanukkah

In addition, a spiritual decoding of revelation took place, in which the LORD drew my attention to the first letter of each of the feasts of ‘Purim’ and ‘Hanukkah’, since with God the ‘first’ has a special position.

Putting together the first two Hebrew letters of the mentioned feasts, we get the Hebrew word ‘paḥ’, which means, among other things, ‘folding net, bird trap, snare, trap’.
Moreover, it is related to the word ‘pāḥad’, which means ‘to tremble, quake, frighten, fear’. (Note: Word explanation for the words ‘paḥ’ and ‘pāḥad’ taken from the Elberfelder Study Bible with the word key number: 6473*, 6474).

Based on the word explanation, it shows that the seed of God that the LORD plants in the spirit or womb of the Bride of Christ in a phase of spiritual warfare is intended for us to operate with the eternal perspective of God, that is, His plan on a higher spiritual level.

As a result, with the divine strategy attained, we transform the destiny of the trap of the enemy, so that he himself gets caught in it and the ‘kings’ (Note: people in the political realm) and ‘judges’ (Note: people in the judicative realm) allied with him tremble on earth to get the opportunity to follow and honor Christ Jesus (cf. Psalm 141:8-10 i.c.w. 2 Samuel 22:46-49; Psalm 2:10-12).

Psalm 141:8-10:
8 But my eyes are fixed on you, Sovereign Lord; in you I take refuge – do not give me over to death.
9 Keep me safe from the traps set by evildoers, from the snares they have laid for me.
10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets, while I pass by in safety.

2 Samuel 22:46-49:
46 They all lose heart; they come trembling from their strongholds.
47 ‘The Lord lives! Praise be to my Rock! Exalted be my God, the Rock, my Saviour!
48 He is the God who avenges me, who puts the nations under me, 49 who sets me free from my enemies. You exalted me above my foes; from a violent man you rescued me.

Psalm 2:10-12:
10 Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth.
11 Serve the Lord with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling.
12 Kiss his son, or he will be angry and your way will lead to your destruction, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

The fruit that the LORD brings forth from His bride within the nine months is a ‘living body’ that bears the aforementioned two biblical feasts as well as the two biblical years within the cycle of blessing (Note: ‘Pe-Beth’ and ‘Pe-Gimel’) and the ‘Pe-Decade’.

This ‘living body’, which represents the calling of God for the coming time, carries the call to ‘make prey’.

The reason is hidden in the fact that the two Hebrew letters ‘Beth’ and ‘Gimel’, make the Hebrew and Persian words respectively ‘bāḡ’, which means ‘spoil, prey’. (Note: word explanation for the word ‘bāḡ’ taken from the Elberfelder Study Bible with the word key number: 920).

Here it is no coincidence that the Gregorian month of December falls in the biblical month of ‘Kislev’, which is linked to the Hebrew tribe of Israel ‘Benjamin’, who was born in Israel as the only son of Jacob and whose calling was to make prey like a wolf and to distribute it (cf. Genesis 49:27).

Genesis 49:27:
27 ‘Benjamin is a ravenous wolf; in the morning he devours the prey, in the evening he divides the plunder.’

Peter, too, was called by the LORD in a trance to‘ make prey’, which preceded and was already an indication of a harvest of souls from the Gentile nations (cf. Acts 10:13.19-20).

Acts 10:13.19-20:
13 Then a voice told him, ‘Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.’ …
19 While Peter was still thinking about the vision, the Spirit said to him, ‘Simon, three men are looking for you.
20 So get up and go downstairs. Do not hesitate to go with them, for I have sent them.’

In this revelation, it relates to us as God’s people that we bring the coming fruit ‘bāḡ – prey’ into maturity in order to effectively ‘make prey’ according to God’s commission on all the levels assigned to us by the Heavenly Father.

This includes our freedom to stand by the truth that God points out to us regardless of the social influence of exclusion and false evaluation of situations. It is not a matter of partiality, division and misunderstood responsibility, if rather we want to be ready to make the ‘spoils’ that the King of Kings has provided for us as ekklēsia.

Amen and Amen.

In His Wisdom,

Daniel Glimm
