Most people know that it has something to do with us if we miss God’s visitation, and it is not only up to God’s power. We, as God’s people in this time, are called not to miss the visitation of our King, but to recognize Him when He appears in His simplicity and to receive the dignity of His sonship (cf. Isaiah 9:2-7 i.c.w. Matthew 2:1-3).

Isaiah 9:2-7:
2 The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned.
3 You have enlarged the nation and increased their joy; they rejoice before you as people rejoice at the harvest, as warriors rejoice when dividing the plunder.
4 For as in the day of Midian’s defeat, you have shattered the yoke that burdens them, the bar across their shoulders, the rod of their oppressor.
5 Every warrior’s boot used in battle and every garment rolled in blood will be destined for burning, will be fuel for the fire.
6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7 Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and for ever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.

Matthew 2:1-3:
1 After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem 2 and asked, ‘Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.’
3 When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him.

It is the simplicity of Jesus Christ, our King, that reveals God’s favor, because the fruit of the womb is a gift from God (cf. Psalm 127:3).

Psalm 127:3:
3 Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.

The Simplicity of the King

The power of Jesus’ simplicity destroys the wisdom of the world and activates the wisdom of God to bring shaking to the earthly system of government and societies (cf. 1 Corinthians 1:18-21 i.c.w. 1 Corinthians 3:19).

1 Corinthians 1:18-21:
18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
19 For it is written: ‘I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.’
20 Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?
21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.

1 Corinthians 3:19:
19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written [Note: Job 5:13]: ‘He catches the wise in their craftiness’; …

It is similar to King Herod, who was anxious and with him the entire city of Jerusalem when he heard about the new king from the ‘mouthpiece of wisdom’ in the form of the many wise men and their entourage, because they lifted their gaze and looked into the realm of Abraham’s promise (cf. Genesis 15:5-6 i.c.w. Matthew 2:2).

Genesis 15:5-6:
5 He took him outside and said, ‘Look up at the sky and count the stars – if indeed you can count them.’ Then he said to him, ‘So shall your offspring be.’
6 Abram believed the Lord, and he credited it to him as righteousness.

Matthew 2:2-3:
… 2 and asked, ‘Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.’
3 When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him.

The decisive factor was that Jesus first appeared as king in the form of a newborn baby on earth in the center of the house of bread (Note: Bethlehem), surrounded by praise (Note: Judah). This refers to the presence of the Word and the high praise of God, as revealed to us in Psalm 149, to bind kings and fetter princes, so that the righteousness of God may be established.

Psalm 149:
1 Praise the Lord. Sing to the Lord a new song, his praise in the assembly of his faithful people.
2 Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; let the people of Zion be glad in their King.
3 Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with tambourine and harp.
4 For the Lord takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory.
5 Let his faithful people rejoice in this honour and sing for joy on their beds.
6 May the praise of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword [Note: Word of God; cf. Ephesians 6:17 i.c.w. Hebrews 4:12-13] in their hands, 7 to inflict vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples, 8 to bind their kings with fetters, their nobles with shackles of iron, 9 to carry out the sentence written against them – this is the glory of all his faithful people. Praise the Lord.

It is the power of the simplicity of our King Jesus, whose presence appears as a great illuminating light, so that the joy of God is activated among men, which relates to the breaking of the yoke and the destruction of the rod of the oppressor. Furthermore, every walk and every plan of war or violence will encounter the fire of God and be consumed (cf. Isaiah 9:1-4).

Isaiah 9:1-4:
1 Nevertheless, there will be no more gloom for those who were in distress. In the past he humbled the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, but in the future he will honour Galilee of the nations, by the Way of the Sea, beyond the Jordan – 2 The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned.

It is the fire of God that consumes all fires that oppose His plan! Every kind of fire must bow down and submit to the fire of God, because it carries the essence of our holy and faithful God within it (cf. Deuteronomy 4:24).

Deuteronomy 4:24:
24 For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.

The Zeal of the LORD of Hosts

We can find the zeal of the LORD of Hosts described in Deuteronomy 4:24 i.c.w. Isaiah 9:6. Thereby the simplicity of His Son Jesus is emphasized, which goes hand in hand with eternal government.

In connection with His zeal, the LORD showed a large gate through which we as saints can pass. Passing through requires everything from us and begins with the narrowness that functions like a birth canal and leads into the realm of the mysteries in Christ, from which we are strengthened in our spirit man to set out in a new way with the Holy Spirit into the unknown, which encompasses God’s promise for us that lies ahead (cf. Matthew 19:24; Colossians 2:2-3 i.c.w. Hebrews 11:8 John 3:8).

Matthew 19:24:
‘… 24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.’

Colossians 2:2-3:
2 My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Hebrews 11:8:
8 By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.

John 3:8:
8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.’

It is necessary that we are closely connected to the wisdom of God to walk through the narrow gate in the power of revelatory truth in the ‘foolishness of preaching’ and stand in the wide green field of God’s promise. It is the zeal of God that is currently moving among His people, confronting all conflict and carnal desires.

In connection with this, I literally saw two doves fighting each other, whereupon I spoke to them to stop, using the word ‘Shalom!’, whereupon they left each other alone. Furthermore, the Holy Spirit calls us to walk in His love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, and to serve one another with appreciation, without getting caught up in quarrels, divisions, competition, control, and any kind of self-righteous behavior etc. (cf. Galatians 5:13-26 i.c.w. 1 Corinthians 3:5-11).

Galatians 5:13-26:
13 You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.
14 For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’
15 If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.
16 So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.
18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

1 Corinthians 3:5-11:
5 What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe – as the Lord has assigned to each his task.
6 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.
7 So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.
8 The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labour.
9 For we are fellow workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.
10 By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care.
11 For no-one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.

In addition, there have been several dreams and visions within our ministry community warning us as saints in Christ not to make wrong decisions that could be associated with a wrong approach to positioning in the body of Christ.

Let us allow God’s zeal to guide us so that we do not miss our visitation!

Amen and Amen.

In His Wisdom,

Daniel Glimm

For many believers in Christ, it is obvious that we are living in and moving forward in a time when the Holy Spirit is bringing us together apostolically in a supernatural way according to God’s plan. This serves to transform the character of our community of saints, in which we live, from a call to be blessed into an alliance of an army that knows how to fight the spiritual battle of this time with the weapons of the Spirit (cf. Ephesians 6:12-13).

Ephesians 6:12-13:
12 For our struggle [Note: battle] is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
13 Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

The Bible passage from Micah 2:12 is supposed to illustrate God’s gathering and apostolic drawing together, where it says that the LORD will gather all of Jacob and bring together the remnant of Israel.

Micah 2:12:
12 ‘I will surely gather all of you, Jacob; I will surely bring together the remnant of Israel. I will bring them together like sheep in a sheepfold, like a flock in its pasture; the place will throng with people.

Furthermore, the ingathering results in a greater quality of relationship among one another, accompanied by an abundant supernatural provision, so that through the people of God there comes a supernatural apostolic sound of possessing the land.

The Apostolic Ingathering of God

This sound connected with this ingathering resembles a roar of forward movement associated with the roar of the Lion of Judah (cf. Deuteronomy 11:24 i.c.w. Joshua 1:3).

Deuteronomy 11:24:
24 Every place where you set your foot will be yours: your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the River Euphrates to the Mediterranean Sea.

Joshua 1:3:
3 I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses.

This refers to the apostolic dynamic in the advancing movement with Christ Jesus in His triumph, which is expressed in supernatural overcoming power (cf. Revelation 5:5).

Revelation 5:5:
5 Then one of the elders said to me, ‘Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.’

When we allow the Spirit of our Heavenly Father to gather us together in the presence of the Lion of Judah and draw us together as He has predestined, we come to recognize a new facet of God as the Breaker, who gains substance in our future and brings forth boldness in us to fearlessly enter the new season with Him. As a result, the movement of supernatural breakthrough on earth becomes recognizable, while the kingship of the Son of God increases in power through the advancement of His ecclesia. This results in the momentum of God amid the new time initiated by God. This is made clear by the Bible passage from Micah 2:13.

Micah 2:13:
‘… 13 The One who breaks open the way will go up before them; they will break through the gate and go out. Their King will pass through before them, the Lord at their head.’

The Power of Indispensable Discipleship
Therefore, let us allow the LORD to gather us together in His apostolic dynamic as spiritual warriors (Note: Israel) in order to transform us into the structure of uncompromising obedience (Note: sheep), so that we may hear the voice of the great and good Shepherd and follow Him wherever He goes (cf. John 10:14.16.27).

John 10:14.16.27:
14 ‘I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me – …
16 I have other sheep that are not of this sheepfold. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. …
27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

It is necessary that we are willing to see the LORD in the way He wants to reveal Himself to us at this time, so that we may begin to be transformed by His presence and His call. As a result, while the LORD leads us forward, we will recognize Him transformed in the way He considers necessary for this time, so that we may break through with Him in His kingship, transformed in the new time (cf. Revelation 19:11-16 i.c.w. Zechariah 10:3b-4).

Revelation 19:11-16:
11 I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war.
12 His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no-one knows but he himself.
13 He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God.
14 The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. ‘He will rule them with an iron sceptre.’ He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty.
16 On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: King of kings and lord of lords.

Zechariah 10:3b-4:
…; 3b for the Lord Almighty will care for his flock, the people of Judah, and make them like a proud horse in battle.
4 From Judah will come the cornerstone, from him the tent peg, from him the battle-bow, from him every ruler.

The Dynamics of the Two Biblical Months and God’s Armory

Here, the LORD brings together the dynamics of the first and seventh biblical month, which are the months of Nissan | Aviv and Tishri | Ethanim, with the aim of revealing a combative influence from His treasury, which resembles an arsenal of weapons (cf. Jeremiah 50:25).

Jeremiah 50:25:
25 The Lord has opened his arsenal and brought out the weapons of his wrath, for the Sovereign Lord Almighty has work to do in the land of the Babylonians.

This refers to the symbiosis of two new biblical time cycles and the feasts of Passover and Sukkot, which point to freedom through the power of the blood of the Lamb of God and His glory. This is embodied by the wounded Lamb standing before the throne of God with its seven horns and seven eyes, with its rays of light moving like lightning from east to west (cf. Revelation 5:6).

Revelation 5:6:
6 Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing at the centre of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. The Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

This ‘east-west movement’ points to the glorious visitation of the Son of God on earth, which is associated with the intensification of praise according to the meaning of Judah and the inheritance of the firstborn, which is also the double portion (Note: ‘Ephraim’ means ‘double fruitfulness’; cf. Matthew 24:27 i.c.w. Judges 1:1-2; Deuteronomy 21:17).

Matthew 24:27:
27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

Judges 1:1-2:
1 After the death of Joshua, the Israelites asked the Lord, ‘Who of us is to go up first to fight against the Canaanites?’
2 The Lord answered, ‘Judah shall go up; I have given the land into their hands.’

Deuteronomy 21:17:
17 He must acknowledge the son of his unloved wife as the firstborn by giving him a double share of all he has. That son is the first sign of his father’s strength. The right of the firstborn belongs to him.

The term ‘armory’ is also linked to a ‘kiss’ which becomes clear by the Hebrew term for ‘kiss’. It is the Hebrew word ‘nĕšîqā’, deriving from the Hebrew root word ‘nāšaq’; it means ‘to kiss, to yield’ and is also connected to the words ‘to touch each other, to equip oneself, weapons, equipment and arsenal/armory’ (Note: part excerpt from the Elberfelder Study bible on the Hebrew words ‘nĕšîqā’ and ‘nāšaq’ with language key numbers 5480*, 5491).

We can thus see that spiritual warfare is based on God’s love and affection, which enables us to drive out and overcome any opposing force of the enemy, such as fear (cf. 2 Timothy 1:7 i.c.w. 1 John 4:18).

2 Timothy 1:7:
7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

1 John 4:18:
18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

The dynamic that emanates from God’s armory is like a bow and arrow directed against the Greek mindset, which encompasses the spirit of humanism and living according to reasoning (Note: one’s own ideas, logic, conclusions based on the human soul; cf. Zechariah 9:13-14 i.c.w. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5).

Zechariah 9:13-14:
13 I will bend Judah as I bend my bow and fill it with Ephraim. I will rouse your sons, Zion, against your sons, Greece, and make you like a warrior’s sword.
14 Then the Lord will appear over them; his arrow will flash like lightning. The Sovereign Lord will sound the trumpet; he will march in the storms of the south, …

2 Corinthians 10:3-5:
3 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.
4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.
5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

=> People with a Greek mindset live by a belief system that expresses the idea that one has the power within oneself and is one’s own god, and that through collective cooperation and one’s own intellect, the world can be made more perfect.

The Greek mindset also emphasizes the importance of studying theology and doctrine (Note: sciences) in order to be able to argue soundly and use human reason critically, with the aim of finding reliable answers through systematic analysis.

This means that people who cultivate such a way of thinking want to be sure that everything can be explained intellectually with their minds and human thinking abilities and follow certain logical processes.

For a Greek way of thinking, human reasons (Note: humanistic) are decisive, and therefore it does not accept anything that is incomprehensible. We who walk with God must accept some things that are incomprehensible because God challenges the mind to test the heart. This also means that God does or will do things in the future that we do not understand, just to see if we still love and trust Him. <= (Note: The text in ‘=>’ is based on a revelatory teaching by Dr. Robert Heidler from the book ‘Time to Advance’ by Chuck D. Pierce with Robert and Linda Heidler.; chapter 1, pages 32-33.)

The attributes of God’s bow and arrow from His armory resemble the cherubic power revealed on the golden mercy seat of the Ark of the Covenant.

The Characteristics of God’s Bow and Arrow

This connection between bow and arrow arises when what has been learned from past experiences is activated by the guidance of the Holy Spirit—comparable to a flash of lightning emanating from God’s promise from His throne (cf. Exodus 25:17-20 i.c.w. Revelation 4:3.5a).

Exodus 25:17-20:
17 ‘Make an atonement cover of pure gold – two and a half cubits long and a cubit and a half wide.
18 And make two cherubim out of hammered gold at the ends of the cover.
19 Make one cherub on one end and the second cherub on the other; make the cherubim of one piece with the cover, at the two ends.
20 The cherubim are to have their wings spread upwards, overshadowing the cover with them. The cherubim are to face each other, looking towards the cover.

Revelation 4:3.5a:
3 And the one who sat there had the appearance of jasper and ruby. A rainbow that shone like an emerald encircled the throne. ...
5a From the throne came flashes of lightning, rumblings and peals of thunder. …

For it is the arrow that is drawn back on the bowstring to powerfully hit its target.
The Hebrew word for ‘Cherub’ means ‘glancing appearance, flash of lightning’.
‘Cherubim’ translates as ‘great, mighty’. Based on this explanation of the word, it shows that the cherubic presence of God is accompanied by His mighty power, glory, and revelation.

This principle of God’s powerful intervention is clearly illustrated in the Bible passage from Zechariah 9:13-14, where God bends His bow of Judah and equips it with the arrow of Ephraim.

Based on the above Bible passage and other passages, it clearly reveals to us that God’s arrows are lightning bolts that emanate from Him and are related to His eternal governmental presence and acceleration (cf. Psalm 18:14; Psalm 144:6 i.c.w. Ezekiel 1:13).

Psalm 18:14:
14 He shot his arrows and scattered the enemy, with great bolts of lightning he routed them.

Psalm 144:6:
6 Send forth lightning and scatter the enemy; shoot your arrows and rout them.

Ezekiel 1:13:
13 The appearance of the living creatures was like burning coals of fire or like torches. Fire moved back and forth among the creatures; it was bright, and lightning flashed out of it.

In a prophetic context, lightning bolts can also represent prophetic decrees that correspond to God’s will and carry out what they are sent to do. This process is similar to the principle in Isaiah 55:11, since the Hebrew word used for ‘rainbow – qäšät’ is the same word used for the weapon ‘bow’. Furthermore, the Greek word used for ‘rainbow’ is ‘ịris’ and comes from the root word ‘er[e]ō’, which means ‘to speak, to say, to utter something’. (Note: word explanations taken from the Elberfelder Study Bible for the Hebrew word ‘rainbow – qäšät’ with the word key number: 7370 and Strong’s Concordance for the Greek word ‘rainbow – ịris’ with the word key number: G2463 and G2046)

Isaiah 55:11:
… 11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth: it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

In addition, the image of the bow and the shot arrow can refer to a dynamic of giving birth, which is clear from the Greek word for ‘bow – tọxon’ – which is ‘tịktō’ and means ‘to give birth, to bring forth, to produce’. (Note: explanations of the Greek words for ‘bow – tọxon’ and ‘to give birth – tịktō’ are taken from the Elberfelder Study Bible with the word key numbers: 4943*, 4916*)

Let us advance in the dynamic of Christ Jesus’ triumph and His resurrection power in the glory made available to us in the high praise of God. Only then will we be able to put all the powers that make themselves available to the adversary in chains and iron shackles by being obedient to the Word of God (cf. Psalm 149:5-9).

Psalm 149:5-9:
5 Let his faithful people rejoice in this honour and sing for joy on their beds.
6 May the praise of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword [Note: Word of God; cf. Hebrew 4:12] in their hands, 7 to inflict vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples, 8 to bind their kings with fetters, their nobles with shackles of iron, 9 to carry out the sentence written against them – this is the glory of all his faithful people. Praise the Lord.

Amen and Amen.

In His Wisdom,

Daniel Glimm

Only when we allow the Holy Spirit to purify our soul/heart can we make the right (Note: wise, appropriate, good) decisions with a sanctified heart or soul, subject to the Spirit. These decisions are then based on the revelatory impulses given to us by our Heavenly Father, which fall into our hearts so that we can make the right decision, which has a valuable effect.

Before Abram was called by God to become Abraham and Sarai to become Sarah, which corresponds to the time of purification of the soul into the dimension of the Spirit, Abram learned to submit to the guidance of God, who is Spirit. In doing so, Abram did not allow himself to be intimidated or negatively affected by challenging circumstances, in this case a famine in his soul (cf. Genesis 12:10).

Genesis 12:10:
10 Now there was a famine in the land, and Abram went down to Egypt to live there for a while because the famine was severe.

The Activation of the Glory Assigned by God

He decided to go to Egypt, taking with him the wife God had given him, that is, the glory entrusted to him (Note: The woman is the crown of her husband. cf. Proverbs 12:4a i.c.w. Genesis 12:11) to act, so that he was preserved with her in Egypt and increased in blessing in his economy (cf. Genesis 12:11-16).

Proverbs 12:4a:
4 A wife of noble character is her husband’s crown, …

Genesis 12:11-16:
11 As he was about to enter Egypt, he said to his wife Sarai, ‘I know what a beautiful woman you are.
12 When the Egyptians see you, they will say, “This is his wife.” Then they will kill me but will let you live.
13 Say you are my sister, so that I will be treated well for your sake and my life will be spared because of you.’
14 When Abram came to Egypt, the Egyptians saw that Sarai was a very beautiful woman.
15 And when Pharaoh’s officials saw her, they praised her to Pharaoh, and she was taken into his palace.
16 He treated Abram well for her sake, and Abram acquired sheep and cattle, male and female donkeys, male and female servants, and camels.

Because of Sarai’s implementation of Abram’s counsel, his economy grew enriched by the blessings released by Pharaoh. This shows us that when we align our hearts/souls with the truth of God’s Word and His instruction, God’s heart is touched. He releases blessings for us because we make decisions based on the knowledge we have according to the truth of God’s Word (cf. Deuteronomy 4:9a i.c.w. Psalm 103:2).

Deuteronomy 4:9a:
9a Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. …

Psalm 103:2:
2 Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits – …

The Power of Obedience to God’s Word

The realm of Abram and Sarai’s walk is equivalent to the phase of obedience to the Word of God and His instruction, to which we have submitted ourselves, so that at a certain point in time, the Spirit of God intervenes in our lives and inspires us in a new way, as is evident in the renaming of Abram to Abraham and Sarai to Sarah (cf. Genesis 17:5.15 i.c.w. Isaiah 40:31).

Genesis 17:5.15:
5 No longer will you be called Abram; your name will be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations. …
15 God also said to Abraham, ‘As for Sarai your wife, you are no longer to call her Sarai; her name will be Sarah.

Isaiah 40:31:
… 31 but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

God, after making a covenant with ‘Abram – high father’, put the Hebrew letter ‘He’ in his name, so that he became ‘Abraham – father of a multitude’. After Abraham received his new name, at God’s instruction, he named his wife ‘Sarai – dominative’ with the new name ‘Sarah – Princess, Queen’ (cf. Genesis 17:5.15).

Genesis 17:5.15:
5 No longer will you be called Abram; your name will be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations. …
15 God also said to Abraham, ‘As for Sarai your wife, you are no longer to call her Sarai; her name will be Sarah.

The Hebrew letter ‘He’ carries the numerical value ‘5’ and means, among other things, ‘a breath of wind’ that calls to behold the things that God reveals. Furthermore, the numerical value ‘5’, reveals the power of God’s hand in the form of grace.

Thus, it is the walk in the realm of the Spirit that makes us hear of new things and hidden results of which we were previously unaware because the Spirit’s starting point and arrival destination are hidden from us, allowing us to be led by His movement (cf. Isaiah 48:6b-7 i.c.w. John 3:8).

Isaiah 48:6b-7:
… 6b ‘From now on I will tell you of new things, of hidden things unknown to you.
7 They are created now, and not long ago; you have not heard of them before today. So you cannot say, “Yes, I knew of them.”

John 3:8:
8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.’

Through the activation of Abram’s glory in the form of Sarai, God began to act supernaturally in the life of Pharaoh, oppressing his house so that Abram could continue his journey with Sarai, protected and blessed (cf. Genesis 12:17-20).

Genesis 12:17-20:
17 But the Lord inflicted serious diseases on Pharaoh and his household because of Abram’s wife Sarai.

Their stay in Egypt was necessary for the blessing of Abram’s economy, similar to what later happened to the people of Israel when they were in slavery in Egypt and left at the right time with great possessions (cf. Exodus 3:21-22; Exodus 11:2 i.c.w. Exodus 12:35-36).

Exodus 3:21-22:
21 ‘And I will make the Egyptians favourably disposed towards this people, so that when you leave you will not go empty-handed.
22 Every woman is to ask her neighbour and any woman living in her house for articles of silver and gold and for clothing, which you will put on your sons and daughters. And so you will plunder the Egyptians.’

Exodus 11:2:
‘… 2 Tell the people that men and women alike are to ask their neighbours for articles of silver and gold.’

Exodus 12:35-36:
35 The Israelites did as Moses instructed and asked the Egyptians for articles of silver and gold and for clothing.
36 The Lord had made the Egyptians favourably disposed towards the people, and they gave them what they asked for; so they plundered the Egyptians.

Liberation of ‘Righteousness’

It is said that after Abram left with Sarai and his people as well as livestock which represents a functioning economy and thereafter separated from his nephew Lot due to economic growth, he later learned that Lot had been captured by an alliance of four kings.

Since Lot is described as righteous in the Word of God (cf. 2 Peter 2:7), it can be said that Abram saw it as his mission to free righteousness from captivity to restore it to its rightful place in society. This situation, in which allied kings fought together, can be compared to our spiritual battle in the present day, it is a matter of freeing justice from the influence of the adversary and restoring its place in society.

Abram was not dependent on his five allied kings and their possessions but knew who he was in God. This is shown later in the conversation with the king of Sodom after the victory over King Kedor-Laomer and his three allied kings (cf. Genesis 14:21-23).

Genesis 14:21-23:
21 The king of Sodom said to Abram, ‘Give me the people and keep the goods for yourself.’
22 But Abram said to the king of Sodom, ‘With raised hand I have sworn an oath to the Lord, God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth, 23 that I will accept nothing belonging to you, not even a thread or the strap of a sandal, so that you will never be able to say, “I made Abram rich.”

The five kings whom Abram supported in battle represent a spiritual quality that tears down the access of evil, symbolized by the four allied kings. This is linked to the Hebrew letter ‘He’, which has the numerical value ‘5’ and means, among other things, ‘a breath of wind’. The number ‘4’‚ in Hebrew stands for ‘Daleth’, which means ‘door’ or ‘wing of a door’ and pictographically represents an ‘open tent door’.

The tearing down of the gateway of evil is like Samson’s intervention, who tore the gate of Gaza from its hinges and placed it in an elevated place. This involves spiritually tearing down the gateway from the place of injustice to the place of God’s justice, which is the foundation of His Word, in order to reestablish justice in society (cf. Judges 16:3).

Judges 16:3:
3 But Samson lay there only until the middle of the night. Then he got up and took hold of the doors of the city gate, together with the two posts, and tore them loose, bar and all. He lifted them to his shoulders and carried them to the top of the hill that faces Hebron [Note: means ‘connection, seat of association, society, place of covenant’].

The Visitation of God through Melchizedek

After Abram won the battle with the five allied kings over the four kings, he had a supernatural visitation in the earthly realm from Melchizedek, the king of Salem and priest of the Most High God, who was already a foreshadowing of Jesus Christ. The visitation with Melchizedek in the King’s Valley could only take place after all that Abram had experienced before and his establishment of justice (cf. Genesis 14:17-20 i.c.w. Hebrews 7:1-10).

Genesis 14:17-20:
17 After Abram returned from defeating Kedorlaomer and the kings allied with him, the king of Sodom came out to meet him in the Valley of Shaveh (that is, the King’s Valley).
18 Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High,
19 and he blessed Abram, saying, ‘Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth.
20 And praise be to God Most High, who delivered your enemies into your hand.’ Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything.

Hebrews 7:1-10:
1 This Melchizedek was king of Salem and priest of God Most High. He met Abraham returning from the defeat of the kings and blessed him, 2 and Abraham gave him a tenth of everything. First, the name Melchizedek means ‘king of righteousness’; then also, ‘king of Salem’ means ‘king of peace’.
3 Without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, resembling the Son of God, he remains a priest for ever.
4 Just think how great he was: even the patriarch Abraham gave him a tenth of the plunder!
5 Now the law requires the descendants of Levi who become priests to collect a tenth from the people – that is, from their fellow Israelites – even though they also are descended from Abraham.
6 This man, however, did not trace his descent from Levi, yet he collected a tenth from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises.
7 And without doubt the lesser is blessed by the greater.
8 In the one case, the tenth is collected by people who die; but in the other case, by him who is declared to be living.
9 One might even say that Levi, who collects the tenth, paid the tenth through Abraham, 10 because when Melchizedek met Abraham, Levi was still in the body of his ancestor.

This reveals that we must properly place our souls under the Spirit to make the right decisions in our hearts with the impulses of God’s revelation and to enter the visitation planned by God for us, which can be supernatural-natural.

It is the Heavenly Father’s desire to make us more deeply acquainted with His first love, so that we may vehemently oppose and resist the adversary and his horde of fear (cf. John 3:16; 1 John 4:18 i.c.w. James 4:7).

John 3:16:
16 For God [Note: the Father] so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

1 John 4:18:
18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

James 4:7:
7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

As already mentioned, Melchizedek was already a sign pointing to Jesus Christ, the dead and risen King of kings and High Priest, at the time of Abraham.

Melchizedek and the Lord’s Supper

This is clear from his name (Note: ‘Melchizedek’ => ‘King of righteousness’), his place of residence (Note: ‘Salem’ => ‘peace, foundation of peace’), his position of authority (Note: king and priest), and the attributes of the Lord’s Supper (Note: bread and wine) that he presented to Abraham after Abraham freed his nephew Lot from the hands of king Kedorlaomer and the three kings allied with him and defeated them.

After Melchizedek had presented Abraham with the bread and wine, he blessed him, with the result that Abraham voluntarily gave him a tithe of his spoils of war (cf. Genesis 14:17-20 i.c.w. John 6:53-58).

John 6:53-58:
53 Jesus said to them, ‘Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.
54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.
55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink.
56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them.
57 Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.
58 This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your ancestors ate manna and died, but whoever feeds on this bread will live for ever.’

Therefore, as saints in Christ, we can boldly move forward in our identity in the dynamic of Jesus Christ’s triumph and His resurrection power in the glory and blessings made available to us. It is about our decisions as those who live by faith and live our identity as the sons of God, who we are in him, uncompromisingly and incorruptibly, and who put the powers that make themselves available to the adversary in chains and iron shackles (cf. Psalm 149:5-9).

Psalm 149:5-9:
5 Let his faithful people rejoice in this honour and sing for joy on their beds.
6 May the praise of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword [Note: spirit filled Word of God; cf. Hebrews 4:12] in their hands, 7 to inflict vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples, 8 to bind their kings with fetters, their nobles with shackles of iron, 9 to carry out the sentence written against them – this is the glory of all his faithful people. Praise the Lord.

Holding sharp swords in our hands implies that we do not compromise or contradict our behavior, which is based on God’s standards and is true before God, ourselves, and other people. It is free from dull conformity to the misleading norms of the world and also free from humanistic heresy, which only wants to hold us back as God’s people.
We should not allow that!

Amen and Amen.

In His Wisdom,
