The Throne of Solomon and the Eternal Government of God

In connection with the throne of Solomon, the Holy Spirit has revealed to me the basic principle of the government of Jesus Christ as the Prince of Peace who is seated at the right hand of God (see Psalm 110).

Psalm 110:
1 The Lord says to my lord: “Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.”
2 The Lord will extend your mighty scepter from Zion, saying, “Rule in the midst of your enemies!”
3 Your troops will be willing on your day of battle. Arrayed in holy splendor, your young men will come to you like dew from the morning’s womb.
4 The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind: “You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.”
5 The Lord is at your right hand; he will crush kings on the day of his wrath.
6 He will judge the nations, heaping up the dead and crushing the rulers of the whole earth.
7 He will drink from a brook along the way, and so he will lift his head high.

Seeking the Government of God

The apostle Paul encouraged the saints in Colossai to seek what is above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

Colossians 3:1-4:
1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
4 When Christ, who is your1 life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God, the door to the realm or dimension of the kingdom of the King of Kings and is described by Paul as seated (see Revelation 17:14; Revelation 19:11.16). Therein it is essential that it was important to Paul that the saints in Colossai would enter into the realm of the spiritual dominion of Christ Jesus.

Revelation 17:14:
14 They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings – and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.”

Revelation 19,11.16:
11 I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. …
16 On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: king of kings and lord of lords.

The First and Necessary Step to Stay in God's Realm of Government

Entering this realm requires complete surrender to the will of God in the first place, which implies self-sacrifice (see Luke 9:23 i.c.w. Galatians 2:20), in order to gain an understanding of and act upon the realm of the kingdom of the eternal Prince of Peace.

Luke 9:23:
23 Then he n(Note: Jesus Christ) said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.

Galatians 2:20:
20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

The Meaning of the Throne

A throne represents dominion and royal power. It is a seat of authority.

=> A throne is the seat of a high priest, military chief or king. It is also the seat of royal power and authority (see 2 Samuel 7:13; Psalm 45:6; Psalm 89:14; Ezekiel 1:26; Daniel 7:9-10; Revelation 4:2-3; Revelation 20:4a.11).
The Hebrew word for “throne” is “kiśśē'” and also means the royal rule of God in the form of sitting on the throne that stands in heaven with the earth as a footstool or in the temple in Jerusalem (see Job 26:9; Psalm 11:4; Psalm 97:2; Isaiah 66:1; Isaiah 6:1).
The Hebrew root word of the word “throne” is “kāśāh” and means “to cover”. <= (note: part excerpt from the “Prophet's Dictionary” by Paula A. Price, Ph. D.; page 558 and the Elberfelder Study Bible on the word “throne-kiśśē'” and “cover-kāśāh”; word key number: H3749, H3750)

Psalm 22:3 makes it clear that God is enthroned on the praise of His people.

Psalm 22:3:
3 Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One; you are the one Israel praises.

A throne is a place where edicts are enacted, laws passed, orders given, proclamations made, proxies and rewards given. It is the place where rulers do their work. The word “enthroned” comes from the Hebrew word “jāšab” and means to sit as a judge.

Therefore, as God's people, we should be aware that God chooses the atmosphere of our praise to establish His throne of authority over the territory. It is praise on which God is enthroned as judge.

This does not only mean the sound of music, singing and songs of praise, but rather the intimacy in Christ with God as Father in the relationship to Him in the Holy Spirit, so that one worships Him in spirit and in truth (see John 4:24).

John 4:24:
24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Solomon and Jesus Christ

Because the name “Solomon” means “the peaceful one, man of rest” and was the king of Israel, who was allowed to build the temple for God, it is wise to study the structure of his throne, since his identity is a reference to Jesus Christ as King and Prince of Peace, who acts from the realm of the wisdom of God (see Isaiah 9:5-6; Matthew 13:54; Luke 2:47.52; John 7:15 i.c.w. 1 Kings 4:29-30.34).

Isaiah 9:5-6:
5 Every warrior’s boot used in battle and every garment rolled in blood will be destined for burning, will be fuel for the fire.
6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Matthew 13:54:
54 Coming to his hometown, he began teaching the people in their synagogue, and they were amazed. “Where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers?” they asked.

Luke 2:47.52:
47 Everyone who heard him (note: Jesus Christ in the age of 12) was amazed at his understanding and his answers. …
52 And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.

John 7:15:
15 The Jews there were amazed and asked, “How did this man get such learning without having been taught?”

1 Kings 4:29-30.34:
29 God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore.
30 Solomon’s wisdom was greater than the wisdom of all the people of the East, and greater than all the wisdom of Egypt.
31 He was wiser than anyone else, including Ethan the Ezrahite – wiser than Heman, Kalkol and Darda, the sons of Mahol. And his fame spread to all the surrounding nations. …
34 From all nations people came to listen to Solomon’s wisdom, sent by all the kings of the world, who had heard of his wisdom.

The Structure of Solomon's Throne

The structure of the throne of Solomon contains fundamental structures of the dominion of God, which must be understood correctly.

In 1 Kings 10:18-20 as well as in 2 Chronicles 9:17-19 we are told of the throne of Solomon, which had a special size and consisted of the following attributes:
  1. ivory covered with the noblest gold => wisdom and knowledge in the richness of faith to penetrate into the hearts of human beings (see Colossians 2:2-3)
  2. six steps => the authority of the saints on earth to enter into the realm of the throne room government of God through Jesus Christ (see Hebrews 4:16)
  3. bullheads/golden lamb on the back => governing mindset (note: power) through the sacrifice of Jesus and His resurrection according to the order of Melchizedek (see Hebrews 5:8-10)
  4. golden footstool => victory/triumph over the enemy (see Psalm 110:1; Matthew 22:44; Hebrews 1:13)
  5. armrests on both sides => maintaining the government and victory of Jesus Christ on earth through His death on the cross (see Exodus 17:11-13)
  6. two lions on their armrests => the kingdom of God within the tribes of Israel and the apostles of the Lamb
  7. twelve lions divided on two sides to the six steps => apostolic access/authorization by the wisdom and knowledge in Jesus Christ to the revelatory realms of the twelve tribes of Israel and the twelve apostles of the Lamb on the foundation of Jesus Christ as door and as precious cornerstone (see Revelation 21:10-14 i.c.w. John 10:9; Ephesians 2:20; 1 Peter 2:4-7)
1 Kings 10:18-20 (Luther):
18 And the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with the noblest gold.
19 And the throne had six steps, and at the back of the throne were bullheads, and there were armrests on both sides of the seat, and two lions stood beside the armrests.
20 And twelve lions stood on the six steps on either side. Such things were never made in all the kingdoms.

2 Chronicles 9:17-19 (Rev. Jerusalem Bible):
17 Furthermore, the king made a great throne of ivory and covered it with pure gold.
18 Six steps led up to the throne. On its back was a golden lamb, and on both sides of the seat were armrests. Two lions stood beside the armrests and 19 twelve on either side of the six steps. Such things have not yet been created for any kingdom.

These seven attributes carry a deep revelatory insight into the government of the body of Christ on earth.

God's Desire to Establish His Government

It is God's desire that we as the body of Christ be led by the Spirit of wisdom and revelation to establish and expand His government on earth (see Ephesians 1:17).

Ephesians 1:17:
17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.

As Paul said, our knowledge/insight is partial (see 1 Corinthians 13:9) and I feel that it is high time that saints within the body of Christ on earth come into the knowledge and understanding of the eternal dominion of God in order to manifest His plans from eternity in the visible realm. This is what Jesus Christ did as the Son of God when He lived on earth. He did what He saw the Father doing and spoke the words He heard from the Father. Likewise, He did not come in His own name, but in the name of His heavenly Father (see John 5:19.43a; John 14:10).

John 5:19.43a:
19 Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. …
43a I have come in my Father’s name, and you do not accept me; …

John 14:10:
10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.

Jesus, as the Son of God on earth, embodied the presence of His Father, which is made clear by Jesus' statements to men when He lived on earth (see John 12:45; John 14:9).

John 12:45:
45 The one who looks at me is seeing the one who sent me.

John 14:9:
9 Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

That is why it is important that we understand God's spiritual realm of government correctly in order to implement the Father's plan on earth.
The implementation of God's government can only happen through our lives if we have died ourselves in Jesus Christ.
This sacrifice is the key to acting in the eternal government of God (see Luke 24:7; Mark 16:19 i.c.w. 2 Corinthians 5:15).

Luke 24:7:
7 ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ ”

Mark 16:19:
19 After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God.

2 Corinthians 5:15:
15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.

Amen and Amen.

In His Wisdom,
