During a meeting at the apostolic center Holy Place, I received the grace to minister prophetically and in my spirit I saw a gate whose pillars were made of transparent glass in which clear water circulated like a whirlpool. While I saw this apparition, it was revealed to me that it was the water gate.

The Standard of the Word of God and the Reconstruction of the Wall of Jerusalem

Herein the Holy Spirit was speaking about the standard of the Word of God in connection with the water gate, which is among other things connected with the reconstruction of the wall of Jerusalem at the time of Nehemiah. Under Nehemiah's supervision, the workers for the reconstruction were assigned to different construction phases, one of which was related to the water gate (see Nehemiah 3:25b-26).

 

… 25b Next to him, Pedaiah son of Parosh 26 and the temple servants living on the hill of Ophel made repairs up to a point opposite the Water Gate toward the east and the projecting tower.

 

The restoration of the wall of Jerusalem corresponds to the standard of the Word of God and the understanding of the one new man on which the prophets stand and prophesy as they see (see Isaiah 62:6 i.c.w. Ephesians 2:15; Revelation 21:12.14; 2 Peter 1:19-21).

 

6 I have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the Lord, give yourselves no rest, …

 

... 15 by destroying in his (note: Jesus Christ) own body the enmity occasioned by the Torah, with its commands set forth in the form of ordinances. He did this in order to create in union with himself from the two groups a single new humanity and thus make shalom,

 

12 It (note: the city/the bride/wife of the Lamb) had a great, high wall with twelve gates, and with twelve angels at the gates. On the gates were written the names of the twelve tribes of Israel. …

14 The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

 

19 We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things.

21 For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

 

 

The prophets have an understanding of the boundaries set by God for the Bride of the Lamb, which signify the standard of His Word (see Revelation 21:2.9-10).

 

2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. …

9 One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.”

10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God.

 

The prophets are driven by the loving of the bridegroom on behalf of God to prophesy the things they see in accordance to the Word of God. Their prophetic words have the power to drive out present fear in the hearts of people so that their addressees can dwell in the love of God and understand His truth correctly (see 1 John 4:18a i.c.w. John 8:31-32; John 14:21).

 

18a There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, …

 

31 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.

32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

 

21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”

 

 

For the reconstruction of the wall section, which had the water gate as a fixed point opposite, was

Pedaiah (note: means “Jah has ransomed”) responsible, the son of Parosh (note: means “a flea, a jumper”) (see Nehemiah 3:25b-26).

 

… 25b Next to him, Pedaiah son of Parosh 26 and the temple servants living on the hill of Ophel made repairs up to a point opposite the Water Gate toward the east and the projecting tower.

 

It was God's intention to let the people of Israel “leap” into a new freedom that was connected to His saving or redeeming power. This was a so-called “quantum leap”, because it was connected with the entry into a new time as well as into a new dimension of the revelation of His Word.

In a prophetic context, the place in front of the water gate is the place closely related to the standard of the Word of God, which involves walking in purity as moving forward sincerely and in true love with Jesus Christ (see Ephesians 5:26-27).

Ephesians 5:26-27:

… 26 to make her holy, cleansing2 her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.

 

It was the priest and scribe Ezra who, from an elevated point of view, read the “Torah – God's teaching” from the place in front of the water gate to the people of Israel at the time of a biblical new beginning (see Nehemiah 8:1-4a; note: 1 Tishri/Ethanim => beginning of the new cycle of blessing as well as the day of shouting or blasting; see Leviticus 23:23-25; Numbers 29:1).

 

… 1 all the people came together as one in the square before the Water Gate. They told Ezra the teacher of the Law to bring out the Book of the Law of Moses, which the Lord had commanded for Israel.

2 So on the first day of the seventh month Ezra the priest brought the Law before the assembly, which was made up of men and women and all who were able to understand.

3 He read it aloud from daybreak till noon as he faced the square before the Water Gate in the presence of the men, women and others who could understand. And all the people listened attentively to the Book of the Law.

4 Ezra the teacher of the Law stood on a high wooden platform built for the occasion. …

 

The Day of Shouting/Blasting and the High Realm of Revelation

The day of shouting/blasting (note: hebr. Yom Teru’ah => “day of blowing the horn”) is also the day that announces the new cycle of blessing of the biblical year through the sound of the trumpet or the shofar (note: a rams horn) and is also called Rosh ha-Shana.

Therefore it was no coincidence that Ezra brought the Torah to the people of Israel exactly on this high day and read it out from an elevated point of view.

The apostle John experienced a similar situation while being in the spirit and receiving the book of Revelation. He was asked to enter a higher spiritual realm by the voice he heard like a trumpet. This realm he was about to enter was also connected to an entrance that John saw as an open door in heaven (see Revelation 4:1-2).

 

1 After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.”

2 At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it.
 

It is God's desire that we pass through the “water gate” to participate in the things He wants to reveal to us according to the measure of His Word (see John 10:9 i.c.w. Psalm 34:8).

 

9 I am (note: Jesus Christ) the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture.

 

8 Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.

 

When God calls us in the Spirit, by the measure of His Word, which is Jesus Christ, to come into a higher realm of His presence, we should be ready to receive in our spirit man the things that He gives us in order to grow in knowledge towards Jesus Christ who is the head (see Ephesians 4:15).

 

15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.

 

For many believers in Christ, the heavenly realm or the realm of the Spirit is an abstract concept or for some even something strange or weird. It is not primarily the place where one goes after death.

Heaven is the place where the spirit man of every human being came into existence or came into existence (see Psalm 139,16 i.c.w. Jeremiah 1,5a).

 

16 Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

 

5a “Before I formed you in the womb I knew1 you, before you were born I set you apart; …”

 

Therefore it is God's desire that we return to this place through Jesus Christ in order to serve from there as priests and reign as kings (see Revelation 1:5-6).

 

… 5 and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, 6 and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father – to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.

 

 

If we have comprehended this correctly, through the gift of the Father's love, which is Jesus Christ (see John 3:16), we receive the right of access to the respective realms in which He gives us permission to enter. Receiving the gift of Jesus Christ in our lives brings favor that needs to be protected and at the same time requires a responsible attitude from us.

 

This means that before we can properly teach and pass on the things we have received from God, it is necessary for us to be intensely involved and to ensure that it is anchored in our heart-mind or in our spirit man. No believer in Christ should begin to teach people unless he or she has first understood the spiritual things or the spiritual realm with which he or she has come into contact or entered.

 

The heavenly realm is the dimension of which God demands that we mature in Christ Jesus and also remain there (see Ephesians 2:4-6 i.c.w. Colossians 3:1-2).

 

4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions – it is by grace you have been saved.

6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, …

 

1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.

2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
