Living in the Spirit and Operating in the Authority of Christ

We know that we as God’s people, are called to walk in the Spirit and to seek those things that are in the supernatural realm where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God (cf. Galatians 5:16a i.c.w. Colossians 3:1-2).

Galatians 5:16a:
16a So I say, live by the Spirit, …

Colossians 3:1-2:
1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.

Since Colossians 3:1 says that Christ is seated at the right hand of God, and in this case not at the right hand of the Father, it reveals that the main focus is on the realm of relationship in the governmental rule of God to implement the plan of God in the Anointed One (Note: Christ) or the God-given anointing on earth.

Being resurrected in Christ as well as seeking things in the governmental realm of God are closely related to the understanding of the dominion in Christ, which we can only obtain when we have laid aside our own life in Christ and are thereby hidden in God who is Spirit (cf. Colossians 3:3 i.c.w. John 4:24a).

Colossians 3:3:
3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

John 4:24a:
24a God is spirit, …

Being Active in the Authority of Christ

Since we as saints in Christ Jesus are also bride, it is necessary for us to be active in our God-given authority that we possess in Christ Jesus in the invisible and visible world. This is accomplished by faith and the deeds that go with it.

James 2:22:
22 You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did.

Thus, it is not enough that we merely recognize the divine with our spiritual eye, but it is required that we put the divine knowledge we have gained into practice in the natural realm.
In the natural realm this is discerned through the deeds of our faith, whereas in the spiritual realm we perceive things through our five spiritual senses. This is why it is so essential that we mature in the five spiritual senses in order to have deeds follow accordingly in the physical realm, so that people will see the good works and begin to praise the Father in heaven (cf. Hebrews 5:14 i.c.w. Matthew 5:16).

Hebrews 5:14:
14 But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.

Matthew 5:16:
16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Life in the Spirit and the Leaping Gazelle

The life in the Spirit can be compared to a leaping gazelle, whose leaping movement may also be an indication of a supernatural touch from God, much like Jacob experienced at the brook Jabbok while the LORD wrestled with him and touched him on his hip so that he limped (cf. Genesis 32:23-26.32).

Genesis 32:23-26.32:
23 After he had sent them across the stream, he sent over all his possessions.
24 So Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him till daybreak.
25 When the man saw that he could not overpower him, he touched the socket of Jacob’s hip so that his hip was wrenched as he wrestled with the man.
26 Then the man said, ‘Let me go, for it is daybreak.’ But Jacob replied, ‘I will not let you go unless you bless me.’

This supernatural touch results in seeing the plans of God in the spirit realm and then implementing them on earth at the time that God has appointed.

Furthermore, the touch of God results in us going forward with a special quality of boldness in order to face the challenges with confidence and successfully master them. In this regard, it doesn’t matter what kind of ‘trap’ or ‘thicket’ we encounter.

The moment we recognize the enemy’s trap, we decide to enter into a higher spiritual realm that comes with a greater perspective, so that we emerge victorious from the danger zone with the divine strategy we have acquired (cf. Psalm 141:8-10).

Psalm 141:8-10:
8 But my eyes are fixed on you, Sovereign Lord; in you I take refuge – do not give me over to death.
9 Keep me safe from the traps set by evildoers, from the snares they have laid for me.
10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets, while I pass by in safety.

Even a situation of danger must work out for the good for us as God’s people according to Romans 8:28.

Romans 8:28:
28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

The trap set by the enemy leads us to choose to enter a higher realm of spirit in Christ Jesus in order to look from God’s predestined perspective. This is accompanied by the enemy being caught in his own trap.

This decision involves multidimensionality, which means bringing heaven to earth, similar to the leaping of the gazelle and the limping of Jacob (cf. Psalm 18:33; Habakkuk 3:19a).

Psalm 18:33:
33 He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he causes me to stand on the heights.

Habakkuk 3:19a:
19a The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights. …

The Action of Daniel and the Intervention of God’s Angels

In the time of Daniel the prophet, it was the resistance of the prince in the air (cf. Ephesians 2:2) who opposed Gabriel to stop the revelatory truth that was to come to Daniel.

However, Daniel chose to break the enemy’s resistance through the power of confession of sin and his intercession, so that Gabriel entered into the spiritual realm of Daniel in order to instruct him in revelatory truth and to inform him that he is a beloved of God (cf. Daniel 9:20-21).

Daniel 9:20-21:
20 While I was speaking and praying, confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel and making my request to the Lord my God for his holy hill – 21 while I was still in prayer, Gabriel, the man I had seen in the earlier vision, came to me in swift flight about the time of the evening sacrifice.

It was the power of Daniel’s surrender that resulted in the adversary’s trap becoming a trap for himself. This resulted in Michael confronting the adversary and putting the enemy in his place so that Gabriel finally could deliver the revelation to Daniel (cf. Daniel 10:12-14).

Daniel 10:12-14:
12 Then he continued, ‘Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them.
13 But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was detained there with the king of Persia.
14 Now I have come to explain to you what will happen to your people in the future, for the vision concerns a time yet to come.’

Amen and Amen.

In His Wisdom,
