As the people of God, we are approaching the end of the biblical year of ‘Pe-Aleph’ (Note: 5781) in the blessing cycle of the Lord, which ends each year with the biblical month ‘Elul’. This month leads into the new biblical year 5782 (Note: starting on Monday evening, the 6'th of September 2021), which begins with the month of Tishrei/Ethanim, so I would like to point to the meaning of the new blessing cycle in a prophetic context.

 

 

When in the calendar of God a time cycle comes to an end, at such a time there is a door in the middle of the upward moving time spiral of the Lord, announcing the new time cycle. This door can be equated with an entrance and exit that is open to close.

 

This is the exit closing the old time phase and is also an entrance that leads into a new time field of God.

 

Jesus Christ is the Alpha and the Omega, which means that He is our span of life in the temporary time, who covers it, and is the door through which we enter a new, nurturing, temporary time in the midst of the cycle of eternity. Thus, the biblical end of the year as well as the biblical beginning of the year has a special significance (cf. Revelation 22:13; Deuteronomy 30:20 i.c.w. John 10:9).

 

13 I am (note: Jesus Christ) the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

 

… 20 and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life (note: span of your life), and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

 

9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture.

 

 

When a biblical year comes to an end and leads into a new year, this is also an indication that the economy within the Kingdom of God is also realigning itself, which is equivalent to the geographical transition of the prophet Elijah when he went from the brook Kerith to Zarephath, which belonged to Sidon and was located by the sea.

 

While Elijah, in accordance with the will of God, changed places and was at the city gate of Zarephath (note: symbol of a time that ends and a new time that begins), God showed him the new source of provision for his future, which was a widow who had a son.

 

Since the widow listened to and trusted the instructions of the prophet Elijah, first Elijah and then she herself was provided in a new or supernatural way. The prophet as well as the widow and her son entered into a new time cycle of God's provision (cf. 1 Kings 17:2-16).
