In our walk with Jesus Christ, it is crucial that we reflect on ourselves in the light of the revelatory truth of His Word in order to weigh what is in accordance with His Word and what is not.
 
In doing so, where we recognize negative attitudes, ways of thinking, and problems within us, we allow the Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of truth, to remove them with His revelatory truth. This is the only way that His righteousness can shine through us (cf. John 16:8.13 i.c.w. 1 Corinthians 2:11; Ephesians 4:23-24; Romans 14:17).
 
John 16:8.13:
8 When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment: …
13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
 
1 Corinthians 2:11:
11 For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.
 
Ephesians 4:23-24:
… 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
 
Romans 14:17:
17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, …
 
Walking in the Standard of the Word of God
 
Abiding or walking according to the standard of God’s Word carries with it the power of following (note: discipleship) in order to know the truth of God and thereby walk in the freedom of the Spirit (cf. John 8:31-32).
 
John 8:31-32:
31 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.
32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
 
The freedom of the Spirit is based on the order of God’s Word and His peace (cf. 1 Corinthians 14:33a; 2 Corinthians 3:17).
 
1 Corinthians 14:33a:
33 For God is not a God of disorder but of peace – …
 
2 Corinthians 3:17:
17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
 
Since we are trees of righteousness (note: the life of righteousness in Christ Jesus) whose roots reach out to the flowing waters of His governmental presence, it is of importance to take care that no bitter root grows up in us.
 
From such a bitter root (note: unredeemed past experiences that are not forgiven; hardening of the heart due to disappointment), a wrong view arises that, among other things, causes trouble in many personal relationships that the Father wants to give us for blessing (cf. Psalm 1:1-3; Jeremiah 17:7-8; Revelation 22:1-2 i.c.w. Hebrews 12:15).
 
Psalm 1:1-3:
1 Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, 2 but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night.
3 That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither – whatever they do prospers.
 
Jeremiah 17:7-8:
7 “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.
8 They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”
 
Revelation 22:1-2:
1 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb
2 down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.
 
Hebrews 12:15:
15 See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.
 
As God’s people, we are united by the blood of Christ that flows through us. Jesus Christ is the way that leads to the Father as well as the truth and the life which is why it is essential to live in grace (cf. John 14:6 i.c.w. John 1:14-16).
 
John 14:6:
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
 
John 1:14-16:
14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
15 (John testified concerning him. He cried out, saying, “This is the one I spoke about when I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’ ”)
16 Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given.
 
The Accuser of the Brethren
 
The Adversary is aware of the principle of this divine kind of connection, which is why his goal is to divide Christians in their fellowship with one another.
 
In doing so, he uses misunderstandings, among other things, to awaken a bitter root in the heart of a believer, which he connects to negative experiences from the past and triggers a negative feeling in the believer in the soul realm of the emotions. The purpose of this is that the believer begins to look at his counterpart from a negative point of view and herein blocks the love of Christ.
 
This can even go so far that the hurt or deceived believer abuses this principle in Christ to appear in the power of the soul (note: through the felt emotions) in the spirit realm of the person by whom he felt hurt.
 
In addition, it is possible that it appears in the way that the believer on the other side suddenly receives thoughts and feelings of the person or even dreams to the point that the person appears with his presence in the atmosphere of his counterpart and exerts pressure on the realm of the soul. This is what the Word calls the influence of the accuser of the brethren (cf. Revelation 12:10), who appears before God’s throne to accuse the saints or cause them to accuse one another (cf. Zechariah 3:1-2a).

10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.
 
Zechariah 3:1-2a:
1 Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right side to accuse him.
2 The Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you, Satan! …
 
We should pay attention to how we nourish our lives in righteousness in Christ Jesus and are provided by the Holy Spirit with clarity and truth because it contributes to what fruit we develop in the future (cf. Hosea 10:12; Galatians 6:7).
 
Hosea 10:12:
12 Sow righteousness for yourselves, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the Lord, until he comes and showers his righteousness on you.
 
Galatians 6:7:
7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.
 
The Intake of the Word of God
 
Therefore, it is necessary that we receive the Word of God that comes from His mouth in our spiritual being and in which we find grace and truth (cf. Matthew 4:4).
 
Matthew 4:4:
4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’(cf. Deuteronomy 8:3)”
 
This is not the power of the letter, but the power of the Spirit, because God is Spirit (cf. John 4:24a i.c.w. 2 Corinthians 3:6).

2 Corinthians 3:6:
6 He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant – not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
 
When we take the Word of God into ourselves, the result is that we are rightly directed according to spirit, soul, and body in order to be enabled to be known in His glory (cf. Colossians 3:1-4 i.c.w. Hebrews 12:2).
 
Colossians 3:1-4:
1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.
4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
 
Hebrews 12:2:
… 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
 
Those who rely on their own feelings and thoughts and exalt themselves above others in any form of possible self-pity are not contributing to the unity among saints that serves the Body to work together in submission under the Holy Spirit in doing what the Lord instructs His Body to do for this time.

Therefore, true humility in us is the key to triumph in Christ over the attacks of the enemy within the fellowship of saints as those who always overcome evil with good. For this we have need to seek reflection in the Word of God for power and discernment.

As the church – the ‘ekklēsịa’ (note: ‘the called out ones’; cf. John 17:16) we are in a phase of enormous change worldwide, in which it is of importance to reconsider all procedures on the basis of the truth of the Word of God and to stand in the ‘NOW’ of the Lord as well as to act from it.
 
This moment of time is related to the saying of the Word of God ‘When the time has come …’ (cf. Mark 1:15; Luke 9:51; Galatians 4:4).
 
Mark 1:15:
15 “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”
 
Luke 9:51:
51 As the time approached for him to be taken up to heaven, Jesus resolutely set out for Jerusalem.
 
Galatians 4:4:
4 But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, …
 
The Fulfillment of Time
 
This fulfillment of time means that it is imperative that we align our minds and spirits according to God’s will and bring them into conformity with this time we are in in order to discern and serve from His perspective and plan (cf. Romans 12:2; Ephesians 4:23-24).
 
Romans 12:2:
2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.
 
Ephesians 4:23-24:
… 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
 
The renewing of our mind and spirit entails weighing the particular influences we are facing or encountering in light of the truth of God’s Word and aligning ourselves accordingly. If God has established a time of transition and shift on earth, we as people of God need to realize that this may cause a breach like it happens when an earthquake occurs. It behaves allegorically speaking in the way that two time plates collide, whereby the new time pushes itself under the old time and breaks it up.
 
This leads to the point when every believer in Christ needs to make the decision to enter into the new that the Lord has prepared, which was not yet known before (cf. Isaiah 43:19; Isaiah 48:6b-7).
 
Isaiah 43:19:
19 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
 
Isaiah 48:6b-7:
… 6b “From now on I will tell you of new things, of hidden things unknown to you.
7 They are created now, and not long ago; you have not heard of them before today. So you cannot say, ‘Yes, I knew of them.’
 
This new or unknown brings with it a sense of something ‘uncertain’ that must be illuminated in His light in order to act according to the resulting revelatory truth (cf. Psalm 36:9).

9 For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light.
 
It is necessary for us as God’s people to recognize that we have entered another phase of God’s promise, which is connected with the rising light of God’s truth (cf. Isaiah 60:1-2).
 
Isaiah 60:1-2:
1 “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.
2 See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you.
 
This confronts in threefold form the twofold darkness of the adversary (note: darkness over creation or territorial area => realm of promise and government) and darkness over humanity => realm of relationship).
 
The Threefold Light Against the Twofold Darkness
 
In order for the Heavenly Father to surround us with the luminous presence of His Sonship and Fatherhood, it is first needed for us to rise from our circumstance and enter into the realm of His revelatory presence. This results in our recognition of His revelatory truth for this time in order to align ourselves according to it and walk in it (cf. Psalm 36:9 i.c.w. James 1:17).
 
Psalm 36:9:
9 For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light.
 
James 1:17:
17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
 
Walking as a disciple of Christ in this truth (note: decoded Word of God) results in freedom that is accompanied by great inner joy (cf. John 8:31-32 i.c.w. Psalm 16:11).
 
John 8:31-32:
31 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.
32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
 
Psalm 16:11:
11 You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
 
It is necessary for us as God’s people to recognize when we are in a state that has already been prophesied, so that we do not separate ourselves from the manifestation by any kind of wrong view by still speaking of it as a coming state or coming event.
 
When we move in this knowledge, we can effectively act according to the guidance of the Holy Spirit in truth.
A failure to recognize the times, can cause people to suddenly find themselves in the past because they do not properly recognize the moment in the present, thus separating themselves from the future plans of God Himself.
 
This kind of separation results in moving forward in hope that does not manifest because people have not properly discerned the times (cf. Proverbs 13:12).
 
Proverbs 13:12:
12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.
 
The proper discernment of the times can lead to problems with those who have not properly discerned the times because the relevant believers were previously in the present, but are now living in the past due to the advancement of time. This results in an unwillingness to leave their ‘place of time – time dimension’ that separates them from the promise of the future that the Lord has in store.
 
It is necessary that where the new is already happening, we should not put our focus on speaking about something ‘coming’ that is already among us and is manifesting.
 
The Process of Shift
 
In link with the present time I want to quote analogously an important statement that Chuck D. Pierce made concerning the process of a shift in which we find ourselves as God’s people:
 
‘There comes a time when the new happens. At this moment of time, our whole being should make a shift. Difficulties may arise that should prevent the believer from moving into a new phase of time. Therefore, it is enriching to know what the word ‘shift’ encompasses.
A shift is ‘a change of place, position or direction’ but also the substitution or replacement of one thing by another.
 
In addition, a shift involves changing gears to get to a higher speed. Furthermore, a shift can be orchestrated by the darkness, which involves a devious or deceitful plan.

Therefore, it is necessary that we, as saints in Christ properly perform our duty to watch over any influence of temptation that might subvert spiritual authority and to repel it and as well as thereby destroy the plot of darkness (cf. Mark 14:38).’

Mark 14:38:
“… 38 Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

It is not left out that shaking occur during a shift and namely in an interpersonal and also general context. Therefore, we should be guided by the guideline of the Word of God which functions like the writing of Jesus in the sand. So that we can stop the accuser of the brethren by His course of action (cf. John 8:6-8; Revelation 12:10)

John 8:6-8:
6 They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him. But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger.
7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.”
8 Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.

Revelation 12:10:
10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.

Based on the above biblical passages, it is clear that the power of the revelatory truth brings forth His rebuke or division, so that the covenant plan of God can come forth in a new way (cf. Matthew 10:34 i.c.w. Hebrews 4:12).

34 “Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.

Hebrews 4:12:
12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

The Love of God and the ‘Sword’

The power of the ‘sword’ is active because of the love – ‘agąpē’ of the saints in question for Christ and the plans of the Heavenly Father and His will for His church – ‘ekklēsịa’ in the present time (cf. Matthew 10:35-39).

Matthew 10:35-39:
35 For I have come to turn “ ‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law – 36 a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’
37 “Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
38 Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me.
39 Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.

Thus, it is clear that the change initiated by God is creating a shift that can cause rifts in any of the above mentioned areas, even in interpersonal relationships.

It is the structure of true love – ‘agąpē’ and passion toward God the Father in Christ Jesus, which is like a basket of figs that has only healthy figs or fruit in it, without tolerating anything rotten due to false love (note: humanism, false understanding of sexuality/intimacy) (cf. Jeremiah 24:1b.2).

Jeremiah 24:1b.2:
… 1b the Lord showed me two baskets of figs placed in front of the temple of the Lord.
2 One basket had very good figs, like those that ripen early; the other basket had very bad figs, so bad they could not be eaten.

The reason for the earlier mentioned statement is because the Hebrew word used for ‘basket’ is ‘dûd’ and is related to the Hebrew word ‘dôd’ which is used for ‘beloved’. (note: word explanation taken from the Elberfelder Study Bible with the word key number: 1765, 1766).
 
We are appointed as God’s people to bear healthy figs or fruit as trees, and to completely discard all that the enemy has brought into the church and society in terms of humanism, wrong understanding of sexuality and intimacy as well as perversion in order to reveal God’s holy nature.

The potential of the fellowship of saints guarantees, among other things, spiritual protection that prepares us for the moment of supernatural encounter with Jesus Christ, His ministering spirits, and the presence of the Heavenly Father (cf. Hebrews 10:24-25).
 
Hebrews 10:24-25:
24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
 
From Psalm 1 and Jeremiah 17 we can see that the believer who delights in the Word of God and walks in the way of righteousness according to the standard of God’s Word is a fruitful tree planted by the rivers of water (cf. Psalm 1:1-3 i.c.w. Jeremiah 17:7-8).

The Forest and the Visitation
 
Based on the biblical passages, a community of believers in Christ Jesus is like a forest/grove or a territory where trees grow. Such a territory of righteousness is, according to the Word of God, connected with supernatural visitation, as it happened, for example, with Abraham or also in the vision of Zechariah (cf. Genesis 18:1-2; Zechariah 1:7-8).
 
Genesis 18:1-2:
1 The Lord appeared to Abraham near the great trees of Mamre while he was sitting at the entrance to his tent in the heat of the day.
2 Abraham looked up and saw three men standing nearby. When he saw them, he hurried from the entrance of his tent to meet them and bowed low to the ground.
 
Zechariah 1:7-8:
7 On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, the month of Shebat, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to the prophet Zechariah son of Berekiah, the son of Iddo.
8 During the night I had a vision, and there before me was a man mounted on a red horse. He was standing among the myrtle trees in a ravine. Behind him were red, brown and white horses.
 
Guaranteeing or securing a community of saints is closely related to hospitality, which carries the potential to contribute to a supernatural visitation (cf. Hebrews 13:1-2).
 
Hebrews 13:1-2:
1 Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.
2 Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.
 
God’s concern is to visit us on earth with His presence so that we may be strengthened by His Spirit in the inner man to continue building the Kingdom of God (cf. Ephesians 3:16-17).
 
Ephesians 3:16-17:
16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, …
 
These visitations carry within them a high level of revelatory knowledge of His principles and spiritual levels of relationship due to sanctification.
 
This is clearly illustrated by the visitation of Zechariah already mentioned above (cf. Zechariah 1:7-17), where in the night he saw in a vision a man sitting on a red horse, who stopped at the bottom of the valley among the myrtles and was accompanied by red, brown and white horses.
 
In order to gain greater knowledge of this apparition, Zechariah entered into conversation with his ministering angel. From this it is revealed that the man and the horses were another dimension of spiritual presence and relationship that Zechariah entered into. As the man on the red horse then began to talk to Zechariah, the prophet received greater knowledge of the presence of the horses, which were the four winds.
 
Following this, the spiritual structure of the man changed into the angel of the LORD. From this it can be seen that the transformation of the figure was already a foreshadowing of Jesus Christ as the one who died and rose from the dead, to whom the four winds now responded and revealed their task, namely to pass through the lands.
 
Here it is no coincidence that the man or angel of the Lord rode on a red horse, since this is connected with the east. The east, is mentioned in the book of Zechariah hidden in connection with the red horses and is at the same time a reference to the new day and the appearance of Christ (cf. Zechariah 6:1-8 i.c.w. Matthew 24:27).
 
Furthermore, the east is the direction of the rising sun. This process symbolizes spirituality and origins as well as revealing the beginning of the events of humanity and affairs. In the prophetic context, the east implies regeneration and renewal (note: through the symbolism of the new dawning day), which contributes to life and new events.
 
After the angel of the LORD has spoken with Zechariah, the communication changed to a higher spiritual level, because now the angel of the LORD was speaking with God, the LORD ZEBAOTH (note: symbol of the Father’s presence). This communication can also be seen as the conversation between the Father and the Son, from which the Holy Spirit takes the truth in order to reveal it to those who desire and align themselves with the revelatory truth (cf. John 16:13-15).
 
John 16:13-15:
13 But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
14 He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you.
15 All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.”
 
It is important to the Heavenly Father that we go forward in a royal-priestly understanding through the blood of His Son Jesus Christ which implies an honorable dealing with spiritual and natural responsibility (cf. Revelation 1:5-6).
 
Revelation 1:5-6:
… 5 and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, 6 and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father – to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.
 
The Rod and the Transition
 
The guidance of His Word, acting like a shepherd’s rod, leads us through the uncertain phase of transition deeper into the realm of His government and promise for us (cf. Psalm 23:4).
 
Psalm 23:4:
4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
 
The people of Israel were also led into transition by ‘the rod’ of Moses and Aaron, even though it involved uncertainty and challenges. Through this guidance, the people were led closer or deeper into the promise and their relationship with God. The rod was already a reference to Jesus’ triumph on the cross and the sign of His resurrection power.
 
I am convinced that we are in a phase where the LORD ‘remembers’ us and His given promises in order to reveal His authority and bring blessings. Therefore, it is important to go forward with firm confidence and hold fast to the promise of God (cf. Hebrews 11:1.6).
 
Hebrews 11:1.6:
1 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. …
6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
 
Here it is crucial to keep in mind that God, is the Ancient of Days and therefore also a God of generations (cf. Daniel 7:9a).
 
Daniel 7:9a:
9a “As I looked, “thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days took his seat. …
 
This means that God is active in the time cycles of the generations and is not limited to a specific temporary time.
 
Even though our salvation is closer now than when we became believers (cf. Romans 13:11), we should be aware that we are the plan of God in the end times and not a victim of the end times. This awareness protects us from falling into the temptation of developing the idea of escape, of staking our security only on the Second Coming of Christ.
 
As long as we live on earth, it should be our task to go forward in the power of the Gospel manifested in signs and wonders (cf. Mark 1:22 i.c.w. Hebrews 2:4).
 
Mark 1:22:
22 The people were amazed at his teaching, because he taught them as one who had authority, not as the teachers of the law.
 
Hebrews 2:4:
4 God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.
 
The end times are not something that happens to us, but rather we are ‘something’ that happens to the end times! It is our moving forward in faith, our daily focus on building the Kingdom and surrendering under the glorious guidance of God’s Spirit that makes everything work out for the best for us by loving God and doing His will.
