The Two Character Traits Of Man

When looking at the love between man and woman, it is important to note that the Word of God primarily speaks of man in his origin as a created spiritual individual consisting of two character traits. Because God is Spirit, He created man according to His image (see Genesis 1:26a.27 i.c.w. John 4:24a).

Genesis 1:26a.27:
26a Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, …
27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

John 4:24a:
24a God is spirit, …

The Creation Of The Spirit of Man

The creation of man in the image of God was not firstly about an earthly being but about the spiritual being of man which was later divided into two beings by God, using the substance of earth or soil.

The Heavenly Father first created spiritual 'Adam', and then the 'body' of his soul, because later God breathed His already existing breath 'Adam' (see Genesis 1: 26a.27) into the immaculate body of the soul of man (see Genesis 2:6-7).

Genesis 2:6-7:
… 6 but streams (note: a mist) came up from the earth and watered the whole surface of the ground.
7 Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

The Man's Desire For The Woman

When God took the woman's personality out of Adam, because he did not want man to be alone, the man's desire for the woman was aroused, as can be seen in Adam's recognition of the woman (see Genesis 2:18.21-24).

Genesis 2:18.21-24:
18 The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” …
21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs (note: a part of the man's side) and then closed up the place with flesh.
22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.
23 The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.”
24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh.

The Hebrew word for 'ribs-side' is 'ȥēla`' and means 'plank; it describes as well a mountain side, the longer side of the ark of the covenant and the tent of meeting; the side of the altar or sides of the temple, planks, girder'. (Partial excerpt from the Elberfelder Study Bible with the word key number: 6907)

This means, the woman assigned to the man by God is the string of a bow, so to speak, from which God shoots His revelatory arrows.

The assigned woman carries within her the potential to expand (see Ephesians 3:18-19), which contains the understanding of God's greatness (note: mountain side), the being of Jesus (note: the longer side of the ark of the covenant), His presence (note: the longer side of the tent of meeting) and also His heart (note: the altar).

This width/length also bears the knowledge of the priestly movement of Jesus Christ, who moves from east to west, as the high priest went from east to west into the holy of holies, and is furthermore related to the revelatory power and the coming of Jesus (see Matthew 24:27).

Matthew 24:27:
27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

The Origin Of Falling In Love

God's sacred apportionment of the character traits of man meant that from that point of time man was able to fall in love with a woman.
Since this sacred apportionment by God, a holy search and longing exists within man and woman alike to become like the image of God that He originally created.

At this point, it is necessary to note that the man as well as the woman in their present existence are not half-valued creatures, but fully mature personalities.
Nevertheless, in the individual character traits assigned by God to both genders, there are things - if viewed from the perspective of the divine origin of man (note: man and woman) - which are not complete unless a discovery (note: recognition) takes place on both sides.

The Feeling That Something Is Missing

Generally speaking, the man as well as the woman carry within themselves a longing through the will of God which is evoked by the feeling that something is missing in them, and must be supplemented, so that they can perceive themselves as complete.
Finally, it is about being in unity before God and being one with Him (see Ephesians 5:31-32).

Ephesians 5:31-32:
31 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”
32 This is a profound mystery – but I am talking about Christ and the church.

The Uniqueness Of Man And Woman

According to the Word of God, man and woman form a unity each in their own male and female uniqueness.
Through the sexual intimacy or union between man and woman in marriage, the origin from the image of God is manifested, thus reflecting the spiritual reality.
It is God's longing, through the desire of true love, to give man the opportunity to transform into His original image by sexual intimacy in marriage.

The Duty Of Man And Woman

In God's understanding, the duty of man includes, among other things, that he is destined to protect, to defend and to watch. The woman, on the other hand, has the duty to provide for the generations and to make herself available to support the man, among others. The reason lies in God's nature, for He is protective, provident and helping (see Genesis 2:15; Genesis 2:20.22; Luke 13:34b).

Genesis 2:15:
15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.

Genesis 2:20.22:
20 So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals. But for Adam no suitable helper was found. …
22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

Luke 13:34b:
… 34b how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing.

As mentioned above, the divine apportionment of the human being into man and woman is the core of sexual attraction. This attraction can physically express itself through different impulses, and can, for instance, make itself felt by a rapid pulse to the point of physical longing for the other person (note: in the relationship between a man and a woman or vice versa).

God's Aim And Desire

It is God's aim for man and woman to marry and to become one in marriage through sexual intimacy in order to appear before Him as a whole spiritual being, whose source of life is God alone.

Even though, if people (note: man and woman), who are destined by God for one another, went different ways in the past and suddenly the point of time comes, where the man is longing for a woman or vice versa, then this is not essentially a purely human behavior, but from the perspective of the Word of God it is a physical manifestation of the mystery between Jesus Christ and the church (see Ephesians 5:31-32).

Ephesians 5:31-32:
31 “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”
32 This is a profound mystery – but I am talking about Christ and the church.

This, however, does not mean that the principle of God is not fundamentally connected with the production of new life. The Lord is, of course, a God of generations and thus of new life. It is not just about the preservation of life in itself, but about the image of God which is reflected by the sexual intimacy in marriage between a man and a woman in the visible and invisible realm. Consequently, the establishment of the image of God in the union between husband and wife leads to new life coming into the world.

Sexuality And Holiness

Hence the sexuality between husband and wife is elevated to a position of holiness, because it takes place in a protected and separate context before God, and not in the way, the media of our time wants to convey it.

Even if it doesn't come to any new life through sexual intercourse in marriage (note: for example because of an old age or for medical reasons), it nevertheless carries holiness, because it is the unity of man and woman before God that reflects His image.

If someone has sex outside of marriage, he or she can receive life, but this act is not considered holy before God. Only through the marriage between man and woman does sexuality bear the character of holiness and is therefore a divine experience.

Amen and Amen.

In His Wisdom,

Daniel Glimm

Beloved people of God,

this prophetic word is meant to serve us as piecemeal and pointer for the next biblical year (note: 5778/2018).
I encourage the reader to pray over this word and to proclaim the plan of the Father over the coming year.

The 20th of September 2017 And The New Biblical Year 5778

On the eve of the 20th of September 2017, the Jewish people enter the new biblical year 5778. As we are the wild shoots that were grafted into the noble olive tree and as such share in the nourishing sap or oiliness (note: anointing), this is also relevant for us (see Romans 11:17-18).

Romans 11:17-18:
17 If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, 18 do not consider yourself to be superior to those other branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you.

God's Apple Of His Eye

Furthermore, Israel is the apple of God's eye according to Zechariah 2:12b, with Jerusalem functioning as its pupil. As gentile Christians we benefit from viewing our lives and environment through Israel, so that we can enter our good future with Jesus Christ in confidence and with enlightened eyes.

Zechariah 2:8b:
… 8b – for whoever touches you (note: Israel) touches the apple of his eye –

The revelation we gain by proceeding this way, contains strategic measures which help us to position our lives in the center of the will of God and in His peace, as Epaphras prayed (see Colossians 4:12).

Colossians 4:12:
12 Epaphras, who is one of you and a servant of Christ Jesus, sends greetings. He is always wrestling in prayer for you, that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured.

The Number “8”

As this year is connected to the Hebrew letter “Cheth” which has the numeric value of “8”, I would like to take a closer look at the meaning of this number, first mentioned in Genesis 17:12; here we find instructions for the circumcision of eight day old boys.
The circumcision was a sign for the covenant between God and the descendants of Abraham who is our forefather of faith.

Genesis 17:12:
12 For the generations to come every male among you who is eight days old must be circumcised, including those born in your household or bought with money from a foreigner – those who are not your offspring.

Enlightened Eyes Of The Heart

In the new biblical year 5778, it is vital to be aware of His covenant which is connected to the enlightened eyes of our heart, as God circumcised our hearts through Jesus Christ (see Romans 2:28-29; Colossians 2:11 i.c.w. Ephesians 1:18-20).

Romans 2:28-29:
28 A person is not a Jew who is one only outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical.
29 No, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a person’s praise is not from other people, but from God.

Colossians 2:11:
11 In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not performed by human hands. Your whole self ruled by the flesh was put off when you were circumcised by Christ, …

Ephesians 1:18-20:
18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, 19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength 20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, …

The Enclosed Garden

Living in covenant with God as our Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ results in revealing His divine standard before men in the manner of an enclosed garden; this happens when we express our love towards Him (see 1 John 5:3).

1 John 5:3:
3 In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, …

This enclosed garden contains our identity as sons of God, as well as the relationship with God as our Heavenly Father.
Furthermore, this enclosed area compares to the first ever garden planted by God which is situated in the center of the area of „Eden – delight“ (see Genesis 2:8).

Genesis 2:8:
8 Now the LORD God had planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man he had formed.

Love And Joy

This means, we are supposed to move in supernatural love and joy in the new biblical year 5778, and this is connected to discipleship and strength (see John 13:35; Nehemiah 8:10b).

John 13:35:
35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Nehemiah 8:10b:
10b Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

The Standard Of God, True Life And Honest Devotion

The standard of God includes His established order or commandments, by which we as His people get protection and safeguard the divine life, the full expression of which is the love of God.
We need to devote ourselves anew to the Heavenly Father in this biblical year 5778, in order to experience the power of His grace, in which are hidden the wisdom and knowledge of Jesus Christ (see Colossians 2:2-3).

Colossians 2:2-3:
2 My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

By true fellowship with God, the Heavenly Father, and by loving our neighbor, we are able to recognize new spiritual life which is also connected to the number „8“ (see Matthew 22:36-40 i.c.w. Isaiah 43:19).

Matthew 22:36-40:
36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
37 Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (see Deuteronomy 6:5).’
38 This is the first and greatest commandment.
39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself (see Leviticus 19:18).’
40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Isaiah 43:19:
19 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

The Holy Spirit wants to use the light of Jesus (note: spiritual revelatory truth) in a new way in us in the biblical year 5778, causing it to emanate from us, so that the people perceive Jesus Christ as a light, shining as through an open door from an illuminated room, hence they receive the chance to enter in (see John 10:9).

John 10:9:
9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture.

God-desired Confrontation

In addition, the biblical year 5778 is a year where the LORD confronts people with the strength of His established kingdom order, where they deliberately resisted Him.
This produces a possibility for these people where they may discern the living word of God for this time in order to position themselves anew in their lives and in the center of God's will (see Numbers 22:24-25a i.c.w. Matthew 21:33).

Numbers 22:24-25a:
24 Then the angel of the LORD stood in a narrow path through the vineyards, with walls on both sides.
25a When the donkey saw the angel of the LORD, it pressed close to the wall, crushing Balaam’s foot against it. …

Matthew 21:33:
33 “Listen to another parable: There was a landowner who planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a wine press in it and built a watchtower. Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and moved to another place.

God's Order And Protection

When we move in a territory set for us by God which contains the kingdom, the LORD grants us protection by His established order that includes His word.
The order of God functions as a strong fiery wall of protection for His people to consume all influences contrary to His will (see Zechariah 2:5).

Zechariah 2:5:
5 And I myself will be a wall of fire around it,’ declares the LORD, ‘and I will be its glory within.’

The Supernatural “Ring Fence” Of The Lamb Of God

The Lamb of God also moves within a supernatural enclosure that contains life. This supernatural ring fence is made up of God's seat of government, the four creatures and the twenty-four elders (see Revelation 5:6).

Revelation 5:6:
6 Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing at the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. The Lamb had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

We need to stay in the divine order, the Lamb of God is moving in, if we as saints want to work together with the Lamb of God from Revelation 5:6 in this time.
Here, it is about divine understanding of the order of eternal rulership (note: the throne of God), the eternal movement of the throne room through the various revelatory characters of the face of God (note: the four creatures => lion, ox, human being, flying eagle), and the eternal priesthood (note: the twenty-four elders).
As a consequence the living and eternal light can flow down to earth through the respective eye in the horn of the slain Lamb of God: This is the Spirit of God in the form of wisdom, understanding, council, strength, knowledge, and the fear of the LORD.
The four revelatory characters of the face of God are connected to the seven horns of the Lamb of God.
The face of the lion is connected to the Spirit of the LORD and the Spirit of the fear of the LORD.
The face of the ox is connected to the Spirit of strength.
The face of the human being is connected to the Spirit of understanding and council.
The face of the flying eagle is connected to the Spirit of wisdom and knowledge.

The Watchmen And The Eternal Light

Moreover, the LORD wants to visit the watchmen within the bride of Christ with His seven fold light of eternity in the biblical year 5778, so that they may discern coming spiritual movements rightly from their position on the wall (see Isaiah 62:6-7).

Isaiah 62:6-7:
6 I have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem; they will never be silent day or night. You who call on the Lord, give yourselves no rest, 7 and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth.

The enlightenment of the watchmen leads to the bride of Christ being secured and strengthened as a spiritual principality (see Revelation 21:2.9b-11).

Revelation 21:2.9b-11:
2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. …
… 9b „Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.“
10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God.
11 It shone with the glory of God, and its brilliance was like that of a very precious jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal.

The wall of the anointed Jerusalem carries in itself the structure of the one new man in Jesus Christ, and it stands in a place where before there was the “wall of hostility” (see Ephesians 2:14-16).

Ephesians 2:14-16:
14 For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, 15 by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two (note: Jews and believers from the Gentiles), thus making peace, 16 and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility.

Remaining Protected In The Time Of Judgment

In the biblical year of 5778 it is important to realize that we remain protected when the judgments of God hit the earth, similar to the way, Noah, his wife and three sons and their wives were protected at the time of the big flood (see Genesis 7:7 i.c.w. 1 Peter 3:20).

Genesis 7:7:
7 And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood.

1 Peter 3:20:
… 20 to those who were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water, …

Judgment And God's Covenant

The time of God's judgment served to make them aware of the secret of the divine covenant, as there were only couples inside the ark.
It needs at least two people to come together in the name of Jesus Christ for Him to reveal Himself in their midst to confirm the supernatural contract/agreement (see Matthew 18:19-20).

Matthew 18:19-20:
19 “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.
20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
It is God's desire for the saints in His kingdom to be in true relationship with Him and each other: This means a real accord in the kingdom, so that Jesus Christ is revealed.

In the biblical year 5778, Jesus Christ wants to continue to reveal Himself in power through His people to point towards the new covenant in His blood which is connected to eternal forgiveness and eternal life (see 1 Corinthians 11:25 i.c.w. Hebrews 12:24).

1 Corinthians 11:25:
25 In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.”

Hebrews 12:24:
… 24 to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.

Biblical Watchword For The Year 2018

The “Herrenhuter” biblical watchword for the Gregorian year 2017 is taken from Revelation 21:6b, where it states:

'To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life.'

The Well And The Eye

The living water of this spring is closely connected with faith in Jesus Christ which means that streams of living water flow from within us to the people so that the glory of God is manifested before them (see John 7:38-39).

John 7:38-39:
38 Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.”
39 By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.

The verse from Revelation 21:6b mentioned above can also be translated as follows:

'I will manifest the power of my vision to him who yearns for the influence of my eye!'

This bible verse is a call to us as people of God in the New Year to ask for more from His prophetic spirit which evokes refreshment and renewal in our minds as well as in people's lives.
The Hebrew word for 'well' is '`ajin' and also means 'eye', which is the organ to see. (note: part excerpt from the Elberfelder study bible for the Hebrew word '`ajin - well, eye'; language code number 5984, 5985)

The Living Water And The Spirit Of Prophecy

This means that the living water reveals the power of the Holy Spirit, but also the power of the testimony of Jesus Christ which is the Spirit of prophecy (see Revelation 19:10e).

Revelation 19:10e:
... 10e for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

This means in connection with the statement from Revelation 19 that the living water contains what Jesus Christ has seen and which He communicates to our spirit so that we can express what Jesus Christ sees and speaks before the visible and invisible world (see John 5:19 i.c.w. John 12:49).

John 5:19:
19 Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. … “

John 12:49:
49 For I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me to say all that I have spoken.

Amen and Amen.

A spirit-filled and sweet year 5778,

Daniel Glimm

Übersetzung: Margit Kelly

In connection with the prosperity of God, the Holy Spirit revealed that it is connected with one of the four living beings before the throne of God, the bull. It is the bull which is related to the spirit of strength (cf. Revelation 4:6-7 i.c.w. Isaiah 11:2).

Revelation 4:6-7:
6 Also in front of the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal. In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures, and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back.
7 The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle.

Isaiah 11:2:
2 The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him – the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord – …

Where the divine characteristic of the bull occurs in connection with prosperity, it carries the anointing of divine administration of the prosperity of God in order to break burdens (note: debts) over people (cf. Isaiah 10:27).

Isaiah 10:27:
27 In that day their burden will be lifted from your shoulders, their yoke from your neck; the yoke will be broken because you have grown so fat (note: by the anointing).

God's Wealth and Glory

God's wealth is not primarily earthly or material prosperity, but spiritual prosperity having its seat in the glory of God from where earthly wealth arises. The reason is, because God is spirit and His wealth as well.

As God is spirit and His prosperity is of eternal character, earthly prosperity is only temporary, i.e. transitory (cf. John 4:24a i.c.w. Matthew 6:19-20).

John 4:24a:
24a God is spirit, …

Matthew 6:19-20:
19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.

Therefore, spiritual prosperity is the fullness of spirit, soul and body, whereby the focus is not only on earthly wealth.

The Plan of the Adversary

There are plans of the adversary of God to direct the focus of His people towards earthly wealth in order to make people see from an earthly perspective. Herein the enemy causes to bring about a break in the sound of worship towards God.
It was no coincidence that right after the exodus of the people of Israel from Egypt, Satan tempted God's people in the desert. They had taken the wealth of Egypt given by God to build a golden calf in order to worship it as their god (cf. Exodus 32:2-6).

Exodus 32:2-6:
2 Aaron answered them, “Take off the gold earrings that your wives, your sons and your daughters are wearing, and bring them to me.”
3 So all the people took off their earrings and brought them to Aaron.
4 He took what they handed him and made it into an idol cast in the shape of a calf, fashioning it with a tool. Then they said, “These are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.”
5 When Aaron saw this, he built an altar in front of the calf and announced, “Tomorrow there will be a festival to the Lord.”
6 So the next day the people rose early and sacrificed burnt offerings and presented fellowship offerings. Afterward they sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry.

The reason is because Satan knew that God had strongly linked prosperity to the living creature of the bull before His throne. Originally, it was God's plan that the people of Israel should worship Him (Note: YAHWEH) as their only God in the desert (cf. Exodus 3:18; Exodus 5:3).

Exodus 3:18:
18 “The elders of Israel will listen to you. Then you and the elders are to go to the king of Egypt and say to him, ‘The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has met with us. Let us take a three-day journey into the wilderness to offer sacrifices to the Lord our God.’

Exodus 5:3:
3 Then they said, “The God of the Hebrews has met with us. Now let us take a three-day journey into the wilderness to offer sacrifices to the Lord our God, or he may strike us with plagues or with the sword.”

The Second Attempt of False Worship

Israel's idolatry, the people's false worship of the golden calf, was later reapplied by Jeroboam, who was king of Israel at that time, by placing two golden calves in two places in Israel (Note: Bethel and Dan).
In addition, he deliberately perverted the time of God's glory by postponing the Feast of Sukkot/ Feast of Tabernacles by one month to the fifteenth day of the eighth biblical month, although the beginning of Sukkot was originally set by God on the fifteenth day of the seventh month (cf. 1 Kings 12:28-33).

1 Kings 12:28-33:
28 After seeking advice, the king made two golden calves. He said to the people, “It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem. Here are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.”
29 One he set up in Bethel, and the other in Dan.
30 And this thing became a sin; the people came to worship the one at Bethel and went as far as Dan to worship the other.
31 Jeroboam built shrines on high places and appointed priests from all sorts of people, even though they were not Levites.
32 He instituted a festival on the fifteenth day of the eighth month, like the festival held in Judah, and offered sacrifices on the altar. This he did in Bethel, sacrificing to the calves he had made. And at Bethel he also installed priests at the high places he had made.
33 On the fifteenth day of the eighth month, a month of his own choosing, he offered sacrifices on the altar he had built at Bethel. So he instituted the festival for the Israelites and went up to the altar to make offerings.

Satan prompted Jeroboam to use the form of cattle for false worship knowing that the bull is the highest expression of God's strength, which is that of the Father.

The Father, The Bull and the Lamb

In Hebrew the word “Abba” is used for the word “father”, which begins and ends with the Hebrew letter “Aleph”.

“Aleph” is the first letter in the Hebrew alphabet and connected with the words “ox, leader, strength, master, lord, thousand“.

Furthermore it has the pictographic representation of a bull's head.

Also, at the Feast of Sukkot, which is the feast of celebrating the glory of God, the bull has an important significance, because in the past the bull was given by the people of Israel as a burnt offering together with rams and lambs as a sweet fragrance for God (cf. Numbers 29:12-39).

The offering of the bull and that of the lamb during these eight days of the Feast of Tabernacles was as follows:

1st day => 13 bulls and 14 male lambs a year old without defect
2nd day => 12 bulls and 14 male lambs a year old without defect
3rd day => 11 bulls and 14 male lambs a year old without defect
4th day => 10 bulls and 14 male lambs a year old without defect
5th day => 9 bulls and 14 male lambs a year old without defect
6th day => 8 bulls and 14 male lambs a year old without defect
7th day => 7 bulls and 14 male lambs a year old without defect
8th day => 1 bull and 7 male lambs a year old without defect.

The main focus here is on the number of the bulls and lambs, though on the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles only one ram was sacrificed from two rams, which were offered together with the bulls and lambs as a burnt offering on the seven days before. Along with a bull and seven one-year-old lambs.

As the number of the bulls and lambs as the burnt offering to the LORD at the Feast of Tabernacles is the highest, the position of these two animals is of particular importance.

It is the bull being first mentioned for the burnt offering and is an indication of the presence of the Heavenly Father. The Lamb is named hereafter and refers to the love given by the Heavenly Father, which is the Son of God, Jesus Christ (cf. John 3:16 i.c.w. John 1:29).

John 3:16:
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 1:29:
29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

Therefore, I consider the decrease of the number of the bulls and the number of higher value of the lambs until the end, as an indication of the responsibility of the judgment given by the Father to the Son.

The responsibility of judgment which God as the Father has entrusted His son with results in greater glory and the presence of the Father and the Son (cf. John 5:19-23).

John 5:19-23:
19 Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.
20 For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, and he will show him even greater works than these, so that you will be amazed.
21 For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it.
22 Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, 23 that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him.

The Attempt of the Enemy to Pull the People of God out of their Relationship with the Father

This is why there is that desire of the adversary to distract the people of God from the center of the relationship with the Heavenly Father. The enemy knows that every believer residing there is able to go ahead with the greatest “authority” of heaven, so that he must flee (cf. James 4:7 i.c.w. 1 John 4:18a).

James 4:7:
7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

1 John 4:18a:
18a There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, …

Satan's highest endeavor is to prevent the love relationship between believers and God the Father by trying to pervert the worship of the believer and even to distort the schedule of believers.

If the enemy succeeds in this, there is a “broken sound” in the worship of believers. This broken sound means that the focus is more on the earthly things or earthly wealth than on their personal love relationship (note: intimate, close) with God.

This can lead to different kinds of fear, as the fear of loss in the life of the respective believer. It is the influence of fear that results in withdrawal or decline of the true relationship with God as the Father.

The Result of True Surrender

Only if we completely surrender ourselves to the Heavenly Father with our spirit, soul and body given by Him, and worship Him (see Matthew 22:37 i.c.w. John 4:24), the spirit of strength gets activated before His throne. The spirit of strength according to the nature of the living bull pushes all our enemies away, similarly as the blessing of Moses onto the tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh reveals (cf. Deuteronomy 33:17).

Deuteronomy 33:17:
17 In majesty he is like a firstborn bull; his horns are the horns of a wild ox. With them he will gore the nations, even those at the ends of the earth. Such are the ten thousands of Ephraim; such are the thousands of Manasseh.”

The Spirit of Strength and the Power of Scattering

The spirit of strength does not search for prey like a lion in the first place, but is set to scatter the enemies of His people with the power of God! This is not only about the dispersion of a small unit of darkness, but about the dispersion of great opposing units!

This strength of God combined with the fullness of divine prosperity is also related to Joseph's royal administration, which causes the breaking of oppression of debt over people.

One reason why many believers do not see the desired breakthrough in their financial field is because they do not make their God-given resources (note: their entire spiritual and earthly life with all values) fully available to the Lord.

This clearly does not mean that they either should sell everything they possess or give everything away, but true worship means perfect surrender to the Heavenly Father (note: with an undivided heart).

The personal recognition of God revealing Himself and by letting us know what can be found in His throne room presence can be the key to worship Him more freely by letting go fear and seeking Him as the highest authority in the Heavens, as the Father and source of all. Like David made the experience over and over again how God would give him strength and victory (cf. Psalm 18:15.39).

Psalm 18:15.39:
15 The valleys of the sea were exposed and the foundations of the earth laid bare at your rebuke, Lord, at the blast of breath from your nostrils. …
39 You armed me with strength for battle; you humbled my adversaries before me.

Amen and Amen.
